Welcome to the Greater Mekong!
They got sick of civvies wanting to pet the German Shepard.
Scientists (those bastards) have discovered a spider with a foot-long legspan in the Mekong Delta.
In case you need reference, here's a guy* holding a 1-foot ruler:
* guy may be smaller than he appears.
This is actually kind of cute, for a spider.
(Green Lynx Spider. Picture found with a Google image search.)
I'm pretty sure I killed one of those in a video game. It was much bigger, though.
Due to the current global economic climate, the orbital nuke project has lost all funding. Spiders 1, Humans 0.
Well, this isn't a creepy spider, but it seems appropriate anyway:
(sorry, it's a flash video, or I'd embed a picture.)
Alright, now you can explain the rest of the picture.
Malor, is that spider attempting to steal a large amount of delicious gelatin?
Saw that on Digg. Apparently it's a fishing spider.
Alright, now you can explain the rest of the picture.
To me, it looks like the spider is trying to devour YOUR SOUL!

I'm pretty certain my soul is darker than that.

Give it up wordy, none of us are going to be tricked into believing that you have a soul.
Malor's pic reminds me of the Pink level of Gears 2.

I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for that lonely man there on the corner.

Woobwoobwoobwoob
::Sidles away clicking claws::
Yeah, I got that on Digg. The caption was, "Fishing spider is fishing". Beyond that, I know nothing.
you cannot escape the scissor spider, unless the link doesn't hold.
This thread, much like its namesake, will not die. It can only be scared into hiding temporarily.
OH HAI
That's awesome. It looks like something from Monsters, Inc.
Alright, I think that last spider was too cute, so to combine two very creepy essences from two photo threads:
That should sufficiently terrify you folks.
Now I know what the arachnophobes see.
TARANTULA SKIN!
Yes, they molt.
I just learned something new, then.
I looked it up and read more about it. Odd, creepy, but very interesting.
It's pretty cool that the whole thing stays intact like that. You could have a lot of fun with an empty tarantula skin.
IYou could have a lot of fun with an empty tarantula skin.
For that matter, you could have a lot of fun with an empty human skin.
