Going on a date Friday. **(Updated May 3rd)**

Ballsy, man. Very ballsy.

it is, I am surprised that he mentioned she was looking at the thread.

You know, I was just having a discussion about this with my father, and he related a story where he visited a high school friend of his many years back. This guy was recuperating in his bed after a weekend not unlike cartoonin's, complete with scratches on his back, and when asked where this sexual dynamo of a woman ran off to, he pointed out the window to indicate that while he was trying to sleep off their tryst, she was across the street playing volleyball in the neighborhood court. Now that's a woman.

So cartoonin's date?
Sisters?
Fuzzy handcuffs?
I'm just kidding...or am I?!

Cartoonin, if she takes this with the sense of humor it's intended with, she's a keeper.

Personally I think he was weak.

He let her know about this little haven of solace we have here at some point during the date. Now she is reading sacred text by the worlds top Tuesday Warriors. Whether she decides to go on another date with him or not he has let an innocent into our sacred cave.

Nevermind that he completely ignored my last minute suggestions. (Forget that it was too late...these aren't the droids you're looking for!)

One date and cartoon is spilling his guts about us. I'm not saying that it isn't right to tell someone the baggage you come with...like knives, guns, and gimp suits but just remember who let her in the backdoor while we were busy changing the world pounding buttons in seeming futility.

Good Luck

I'm pretty sure gimp suit and backdoor should ever be used in the same sentence. That needs to be a man law.

I've been married for a few years- we went to dinner on our first date. Other ideas would be a museum- if she is too dumb to enjoy a lovely stroll through a museum then it probably won't work (unless that's what you are looking for ;D), or how about going out for casual drinks? Or an aquarium or zoo? Not sure how close you are to the beach, but maybe a walk along the boardwalk, play some games, stroll on the beach?

And, in the Slightly-Too-Late category...

Ah this thread is too long to read all the replies. For anyone else going on a first date, I was just thinking Six Flags would be cool. Lots of time to talk while waiting in line.

I, well, uh, er...hi?

A big ol' ASCII arrow pointing toward your avatar would've been so much better. FAIL!

Schnug - The drama on this one is entertaining, you should go back and read the whole thing

She actually has enjoyed this thread. To cap it off, she is also into gaming as well.

K, I'm now calling shenanigans. I was starting to think she was imaginary in the first place; this just caps it.

Unless of course she rode in on her unicorn with her friends Bigfoot and Jimmy Hoffa.

.... Civ 2?

Nope, I called it. She's a man.

Holly came from miami f.l.a.
Hitch-hiked her way across the u.s.a.

Plucked her eyebrows on the way
Shaved her leg and then he was a she
She says, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side

Cartoonin still has not told us where he decided to take his date on Friday. I am curious about that.

Couples colonic irrigation? The shared feeling of well-being really is a great ice-breaker.

Next time I'm in Raleigh visiting my parents I'm going to have to shake your hand.

Just make sure he's washed it first.

Dude, your left hand is NOT, I repeat, NOT a date.

Oops, faux pas. We went to my place first for a couple of drinks, then to Wasabi for some terrific sushi and sake. I had not been there before but had heard good things, it was nice but not quite as intimate as Sushi/Thai (next time maybe.) After that we came back to my apartment since it was fairly cool out and she didn't really feel like going to B&N for coffee and book perusing.

Saturday we went out for Pizza and movies, just to have a fun day of it. As for the in-between stuff throughout the weekend, well, you will just to have to use your imagination. That or she can fill you in, I asked if she wanted to join up on the site and she said she would.

.... Civ 2?

Xbox and PC gaming, primarily.

My belated comments to that thread. I often do appear to be passing all manner of high-handed and uppity judgements in this forum, but, well, here we go again.

I think intimating to the forum about the private details of a brand new relationship is... Not right. I understand many of us have been discoursing here for years and everything, but still. Dishing it to the interwebs at large is improper.

I see c99 actually trying to be tasteful about the affair now, and he's definitely a gentleman enough to have alerted his new acquaintance to the existence of this thread -- at least she's not entirely oblivious about the salient discussions happening about her back. Still, for the rest of the board to horse around and to try goading juicy details from c99 (in jest or not) is just low class, dammit. For most women such a locker room discussion, should they become aware of it, could be enough to turn them away completely from a budding relationship. Have some tact, people.

and all that, yeah.

Ok, here I am. Cartoonin's Imaginary date. I am not imaginary and everything he has said thus far is indeed correct. I have been LMFAO reading this thread. I must say this was the best date I have ever been on. He was a gentleman when it was necessary and an Animal at the right times. Even though, I think I might of gave him a run for his money...LoL. We still have not stopped talking, as a matter of fact, we talk so much that we interrupt each other all the time. He and I have a lot in common. Plus I'm a computer geek and I enjoyed being a kid at heart.

Yes I am a little into gaming also. Except I'm more of the Unreal Tournament kinda girl. I have played World of Warcraft but not online.

I am not imaginary nor am I am man. I think Cartoonin can agree with me on that. I am all woman and in 3-D. I think all of your guys/gals on this site are cool as hell. and Hello to you all. It's nice to meet you.

P.S. I still have a few scratches left on my back and I'm still walking a little funny...:-)

Aw...dammit...you got Gurl on my Interwebs...

Nice to meet you, and best of wishes to you both.

P.S. a 2nd happy-ending DDT, if there ever was one after Roo's one in years!

Alright, I'm going to be a totally classless one.

Congrats and good luck to you both. Game on! Let us know how that strip version of UT works out for you.

Sorry to nitpick, but my inner nerd cannot stand it. How exactly did you play World of Warcraft while not online? Do you mean games from the Warcraft universe (Warcraft 1, 2 and/or 3)?

Yes, sorry I did not clarify that. I used to live out in the country, and only had dial up...so that doesn't make online gaming very fun. Way too much lag.

I am fairly certain that is what she means.

edit: Ooops, she posted her answer, my bad.
