Mario Kart Wii - Catch All

I registered all the friend codes so far... Yay~

Same here: everyone's added so far. Can't wait to race some fellow Goodjers!

Two-player split screen online = SOLD. Thanks for the responses. I'll post a friend code when I pick this up.

hey hey Add me please 0817-4293-9218

I just spent 10 min, adding everyone , which was a mini game itself.

I have registered everyone in this thread so far. We need to figure out a day and a time to race, and use the GWJ Ventrilo server for voice chat. I can create a Nintendo Wii channel on the server for us to hang out in.

Tuesday nights would be the only night that would work for me.

I've got everyone on the list added, and only four seem to have reciprocated as of last night. Kart Up, peeps!

Do these Mario Kart codes work completely independently of the general Wii friend codes? I have not been adding the Wii friend codes.

I'm in the process of adding everyone now (through 0Johnny0). Please add me to the list, too: 2921-9613-6557.

Mine is:

0473-8321-5908

Ok it is almost Sunday eve here in the east, someone pick a time to Race! 9pm est?

Okay, I finally have caught up and have everyone registered. Now do the same~

Picked it up this weekend. I love the new controls; it takes some getting used to, but it seems a lot more "fun" than using a control stick. Here is my friend code:

4511-1125-0734

I picked up the game last night. The wheel and online play go a long way towards making this Mario Kart iteration feel like a new experience, moreso than the N64 and GC iterations did!

My code is: 4081-6162-9803

I'm off to add everyone!

Oh hey I did a little tournament action today.

They changed the race track up a bit for the tournament or at least my son says they did. He finally got through to me that the Chain Chomps are loose on the track instead of being chained up which makes it a bit more chaotic in spots. Nice touch eh?

I played online for the first time yesterday with my son. The ability to have two players on one console worked well, and I don't have to worry about any smack talking because there's no way to communicate with other players. Fun races, no hassles, and the benefit to not being on the 360 is that there were no uber racers dominating the crap out of us.

I busted my cherry last night too. I was surprised how well online worked. I had a lot of fun. But the codes still suck.

The no trash talking 10 year olds is nice. The part about the uber racers is kinda sad though, every match ive played i have dominated. I've played maybe 30 matches online and won them all by pretty sizable margins. Some better competition would be nice.

I picked this up this weekend and it it is excellent. Takes me back to the college days of N64 Kart.

I've added everbody in the thread and my friend code is 0430-9037-0848.

I've very impressed how polished the MP is and I look forward to seeing you guys online. Any luck with getting people on vent for this?

I don't have access to my Mario Kart FC currently, but I've got my Wii console #, which is really all that's needed to register each other.

So why bother w/ FC's for this game? Unless you don't want some random stranger spamming your Wii-mail box all the time w/ pointless game invites that you recieve hours after the fact.

Well, I'll add my FC when I dig it up at home. For now, if anyone wants to add me this way, my Wii console code is: 7415 7854 7235 1798

I'll add anyone I see on here that likes to just sign on and join anyone they see on at the time.

Forgot, here's my code: 0044-3565-8981

I'll add all the codes in the thread tonight.

Ok, my friend code for Mario Kart is: 0860-3959-1750 I'll add as many people as I see here.

A friend brought over his copy this weekend, and while the racing had that old Mario Kart charm and all the throw back tracks were fun to have around, it didn't exactly grab me. To be fair, though, it might be because I've got so many other games I'm playing right now.

One big question though: Is it really not possible to do free for all battles anymore? I mean, the team mode would be a fun addition, but did they really dump the classic battle mode? Please tell me I just couldn't find the option to change it back or something.

Yeah, unfortunately the FFA battle mode that has been a staple of Mario Kart console games all the way back to the SNES verison appears to be gone from this version for some reason. It's a weird omission.

Yup, gone to my knowledge too. Hey, I've added everyone's code in the top post and on this page or posts. Add me back and let me know, please.

Wow, that just a stunningly stupid design decision.

Oddly, in most types of games I prefer a cooperative or at least team based experience, but not in Mario Kart. Even still, though, why not have a FFA mode at all? The mind boggles. Well, I guess I'll just play the game a few times on my friend's copy them move it along.

Anyone still playing this game? I'd love to trade ghosts and such. Online races are tons of fun too.

I've added all the peeps in the top post and I'll add anyone else, too.

I play quite often... though I've only seen one Kart friend online at the same time as me in all that time... I joined, but it was battle, which ain't really my thing. I love love love the game though, and had the good fortune to play with four old college friends the other day (the N64 version was an utter obsession our senior year, following in the footsteps of Mortal Kombats 2 and 3) for five hours in the same room. It was grrrreat.

I really wish it were easier to play Wii games online with friends.
