If you take a trip up to York at some point, give me a shout. Enjoy either way!

I'm actually already in the planning process of going to York to meet a friend of mine for lunch, so I can definitely make some time for ye! How far away is it from Hyde Park?

What I want to know is, where can I find the golden snitch(sp)!?

Eat Indian Food - The Indian restaurants in London are quite good. You're usually pretty safe here, and I had the best Chicken Curry I've ever had.

I second this piece of advice. The Indian food in England is excellent. Also, try to stop in at a Chinese restaurant. Talking to a Chinaman with an English accent is an experience I'll not soon forget.

I went to Stick and Bowl for lunch yesterday. For London being an insanely pricey city it was less than £5. Pretty awesome.

Regarding the Royal Albert Music Hall, I saw the sun rise there this morning as I was walking around talking to a chick I met.

And the Imperial College? I went there last night to the student union and got mad drunk on £10. I think I'm keeping up with all of you pretty good so far, eh?

Yep, that pretty much sums it up.

It's about 200 miles, which is a hell of a long way for lunch! You'd better get booked into the Blue Bicycle or one of the other top tier eateries if you are coming that far!

When I went to London over the Christmas Break, I too stayed near Kensington and Hyde park. Had a hella time. London is one of those places I'd certainly revisit again, just to hang out more.

Went to Greenwich (my wife's favorite part of the trip, but she's a Science teacher -- go figure)
The British Museum is nice -- and free. I'd recommend going nearer to closing time though as its pretty crowded during the afternoon.
The Portrait Museum (whatever the hell its really called) is in Trafalgar Square and is free too.. I certainly enjoyed it, but then again, I'm an English Grad Student with a bit more invested and have a bit more historical perspective than your average guy, I suppose.

Personally, I enjoyed spending coins (coins!) on beer. I also enjoyed a solid Brit breakfast, though my wife wasn't too big on the beans and mash. Unfortunately, there aren't any pro football games you can really go to at the moment, so I couldn't recommend one of those

I'll simplify it - try to avoid British food. Sometimes I'm not sure it's even food. They make good fries though (but then again, fries are Belgian invention).

Right! Just got back from Paris, and saw all the required spots like the Eiffel at night, on top of the Eiffel, a lot of Notre Dame, the Lourve and some of its paintings and sculptures (not all, obviously), and Versailles. I really wanted to walk the gardens, but after looking at the map they gave me I realized just how much garden there is. The French really liked taking up space for no reason other than to say, "Look at all this land we have for horse riding!"

I'm meeting up with a few Goodjers tonight. Besides that I want to go to Solisbury Hill soon, Stonehenge, the Tower of London, the Jack the Ripper walk, and the London Eye. I had to axe Wicked since I'll be meeting a few English friends in York, but oh well.
