Oregon Trail for Hipsters

Sure, we all remember playing Oregon Trail as kids. But as an adult, I realized it was missing something. Thanks to the developers of "Thule Trail," Oregon Trail has received an update. Now instead of trekking across the country in a covered wagon, you and 5 of your friends are making the trip across the country in a hybrid sedan in search of a music festival. Truck-stop hookers, dice games, and whiny hitch-hikers included!

Early arrival penalty?

Yeah I got hit with that too. 2129

hmm, I think the top 2 are cheating.
I only got 4600 as a slacker

OK, the Insight is not a sedan.

Never made it, got pulled over and.. didn't have the money to pay the fine? I liked the rest of it, but the pull over- pay the fine immediately or your cars impounded dynamic was kinda stupid.

I am the king of turtle races!

I lost a kayak race and the game froze. That'll teach me to crash into swimmers!

Yeah, that's what happened to me too. It's not that the game froze, it's that it makes you stop whenever you hit an obstacle as a penalty... and there's no way around an obstacle you hit dead-on in the kayak race.

I was disappointed, not a single person died of dysentery along the way, nor did I encounter the tombstones of other travelers who met disaster on the way.

The kayak race had some shoddy hit detection, kept bumping into things a little way away from my bow. Also hit invisible things twice during that race. No problems with the snowboard or mountain bike though.

I actually made it to the end in the kayak and the game froze with an image of my car on the highway. Go figure. I still have no idea how anyone is expected to finish that race in 60 seconds though. I could have walked from body to body and finished in that time, but in a boat, forget it.

If I can't be involved in the wholesale slaughter of various plains and woodland creatures for meat I'll never use...I'm not interested.

You can shoot pizzas...

And if we don't occasionally cull the pizzas, they'll overrun the earth.

This is amazing - and I didn't even find the truck-stop hookers. (Though they really would have taken this up to the next level.)
