APF2k8 - Legends League S1 - Round 2 Playoffs

The schedule is advanced, the playoffs roll on. On one side we have the clash of the titans. The undefeated teams square off.

frankiemumbles, I choose you.

Any day after 6pm PST.

Ruthless, what's best for you? My absolute ideal would be 8pm EST tomorrow (Thursday) night, but if that's no good we'll work something out for the weekend?

I can play tonight 11pm eastern let me know if that works for you.

Great job, frankie!! You played great, you're a great sport, fun chat. Good luck next week. Beware of his running back duo whichever undefeated team has to play him.

Hey ruthless... if you can do 8, that'd be great. 8:30 okay too. If I wait until 9, there's a chance I'll be interrupted by family matters, which I'm hoping to avoid.

Don't we all.

ready

"It's the Final Countdown!!!"

Sort of an insane game between muffin and me... I missed an extra-point, a field goal, and perhaps unwisely went for it on 4th and 2 at midfield with a minute left in the fourth thinking if Campbell could just convert the game would be iced, instead of giving Ruthless a full minute to march downfield. Didn't work. Ruthless took advantage of the good field position, and to overtime it went. Mind you he also converted two 4th-and-longs earlier to keep drives alive. I was fortunate enough to score with :30 left in the first half thanks to a streaking Metzelaars, right before getting the ball back after the half. Thank goodness I won the coin toss in overtime, or else it would have been a legendary choke job. As it was I had to sneak it in with Stabler after two unsuccessful short-yardage attempts by Campbell to finish it.

Good game, Ruthless.

Wow, sounds like the game of the undefeated's lived up to the hype. Too bad there's no way for other people to watch in real time.

Indeed...boy that would be a great feature. Even a saved films-type feature where they could post highlights online or via the 360 would be great.

I agree... it's like Halo 3 gave us all something we didn't even know we wanted, and now I want it implemented in all sports games.

Ineed. I've thought this many times since Halo came out. It should be part of the 360 toolkit.

Well, even beyond the films, the fricking Halo matchmaking / lobby stuff should be a feature built into Live. When I want to play TF2, I should be able to collect all my buddies in one place and have us all join a game together. [/rant]

I have so wanted this on many occasions. Perhaps at least an abbreviated highlight clip that could be saved and viewed by others.

We had something like this way back when I was play FPS Football Pro. It was a sim league, so we were just submitting plays and gameplans, and then the CPU would play the game out on the commish's CPU. So every Sunday night everyone in the league would show up using a third party program that used the logs to broadcast game info, and grapical representation of plays, showing when there was a run or a pass, and where on the field the ball was. Along with text of each play. The cool thing was, it could show four games at once, while the league chatted in the lobby watching it.

There were just some amazing games. Would love to see this added to 2K9 if it indeed shows up.
