Happy Hump Day Survey!

Half-Life. A show spanning the time between HL1 & 2, focusing on Eli Vance and Isaac Kleiner. Start things off with the Seven Hour War, then follow the formation of the resistance. Only show Freeman in flashbacks to the Black Mesa incident so there's no need to worry about the silent protagonist issue.

I think she's a little thin for the role. I can't see it.

Star Control 2.
As a musical.

And the stamens are way too small.

I forgot that it's HUMP DAY! Happy Hump Day Survey everyone!

What is the best movie about stealing something?

Tough call... I'm going to with the original The Taking of the Pelham One Two Three

Honorable mention to Office Space

Ronin? Heat? It's hard to decide.

While not technically about stealing something, Mission: Impossible.

Oh man. Heat and the Usual Suspects come immediately to mind.

I'm tempted to post something about losing one's virginity, but I'll leave the crass up to Quintin.

I really enjoy Ocean's Eleven, but I'm not going to put it out there as the best.

Edit: Dammit. I really can't decide between Heat and Rififi.

I'm going with Heat. Have they ever debunked the rumor that Al Pacino and Robert De Niro never saw each other in person during the making of the movie?

Hmmm...so many.

Reservoir Dogs. Thomas Crown Affair (the Pierce Brosnan remake). A Fish Called Wanda. And if I'm in an early 90s cheesy mood, Point Break.

Reservoir Dogs

I want to change my answer.

OMG so many good ones I never thought of Fish Called Wanda didn't come to mind at all but what a classic comedy. Don't call me stupid!

Three Kings also comes to mind.

First one that came to my mind was Sneakers, actually. I think. Is there something specific they try to steal in that? It's been a while since I've seen it.

A universal decryption device, IIRC.

I'm going to call my answers early this week and go with one of my favorite duos...

Though the Usual Suspects is definitely high on my list.

Dr. Strangelove.

Butch Cassidy and Sneakers are both great calls!

Now that's an answer I was looking for. Very, very sneaky, sir.

A Fish Called Wanda made me think about The Pink Panther.

The Sting is seconded. Paul Newman and Robert Redford are great together.

For some reason this made me thing of Hackers as an answer! Not a "good" movie, but a cheesy 90s answer for sure.

You know he's at a computer because you can read the lines of code off his face because... ok, I got nothing.

An excellent choice.

Good lord not again...

EDIT: To explain - my 6yo son has those on DVD and loves them. After a small amount of initial nostalgia had worn off, I began to loathe them as much as I loathe Dora the Explorer.

I can't believe they are on DVD... I must find them... (Sorry for the side track, I fell behind...)
