Foul! Iron Giant is a alive and not a weapon as was evidenced by his choice to stop destroying tanks and save the town.
I'm starting to wonder if favorite robot/mecha should be its own week.
Gonna have to go with Samus Aran's power suit if we're labeling whole outfits or Mechs as weapons.

This is a problem?
I'm trying to recall what the first science fiction vehicle I saw in film was. Probably a Star Destroyer. If we extend to fantasy, then it was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang or Herbie the Love Bug.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Nice
Have you got the song in your head yet?
Chitty Bang Bang, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
We love you and our pretty
Chitty Bang Bang, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Loves us too
High, low, anywhere we go
On Chitty Chitty we depend
Bang Bang, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Our fine four fendered friend
Bang Bang, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Our fine four fendered friend
Now you do. Thank you Disney.
Edit: Muahaha... your survey mistake will live on forever!
Glad you caught that.
Since other folks are double-dipping, here's also my favorite superweapon to defeat all evil:
It's an awesome person filled with compassion and motivated by love!
(Not to be mistaken for favorite wardrobe. That would definitely not be this.)
[edit]: apparently you can't mark images for spoilers, or am I doing it wrong?

Toot! Sweets! Toot! Sweets!
And now you have that song stuck in your head.

Aren't those the best kind of weapons?

I take you you didn't notice I picked The Moment.
And I guessed the game before looking at the URL. Wish I had not loaned out / lost that disc, but assume it would play like crap now.
[edit] whoops, wrong survey!!!...corrected:
Your choice reminds me... aside from the Tardis, the SFnal vehicle I've spent the most time with is probably this one:
Or, you know, the Enterprise, in its various incarnations. How come nobody's picked that yet? And is a Stargate technically a vehicle? It does get you from place to place. And going back to childhood vehicles, I also left out these:
And this one:
(I seem to be in a nostalgia black hole. Help!)

Well, the point of The Moment is to judge whomever uses it. The point of Iron Giant is that you are who you choose to be and Iron Giant chose to be a hero.
Yes! So much love for Buckaroo Banzai!
I thought of another vehicle.
Oh, another vehicle idea -
Either of these:
Here's my vehicle:

He is transport for the kid that's my story and I'm sticking to it

If we're going to break the rules and include video games, I insist on mentioning these weapons from Saints Row.
Shark-O-Matic
Dubstep Gun
And the Manapult, which is a weapon and a vehicle.
The vehicle:
The weapon:

I say shame on you for having to *guess* that this was the SHOGO Bullgut, instead of knowing it by heart.
I pretty much write love poems to it and its drunken missiles whenever this question comes up. Functionally, it's a decent mid-range weapon, but aesthetically the way it covers everything in smoke and particles and confusion is swoon-worthy.
SHOGO is as wonky and weird and broken as it ever was, but you can get it playing at widescreen resolutions pretty easily these days, btw.
This week has been crazy, I totally didn't have time to check back here, but that's one heck of a question.
My scuff transport of choice: The Normandy SR-2 (Mass Effect)
Either that or the Enterprise D.
And for a weapon... A gom jabbar?
Or maybe just a lightsaber.
Gosh, there are so many great suggestions (love that Leeloo was picked!).
Im going to give some love to the cloud car.
I had the toy and would pretend it was the gun from the Black Hole.
Why? My folks wouldn't buy me toy guns.
Oh, another idea for a vehicle (yes, I know, books don't count. Meh.)
When Forrest Gump finds Jenny at the Vietnam protest.
