Happy Hump Day Survey!

Then: House Atreides.

Now: I would be of the House of Elros Half-Elven, first king of Numenor.

I dunno, maybe it's because my family is fairly boring and undramatic, or I'm too much of a tuffalobuffalo, but that seems like a weird fantasy to me.

If I'd have to go with one, I'd make it the Leverage crime family, because a) it's a found family anyway, so that feels less weird b) they're a fun hyper-competent bunch, and you'd learn a sh*t ton hanging around them, and c) it'd be awesome to live in a world where white collar criminal scum gets properly punished.

If it wasn't heart breaking I'd turn this into a meme.

Now:

I'm okay withe memes.

I actually thought of what my first response should be. I don't think it came up.

Then: Disney's Swiss Family Robinson.

Winner.

Better.

Actually, I'd kinda want them all gone and give me the island and treehouse.

Never really happened for me either. There were people I wanted to be, but I never wanted to just be part of their family.

You'd need help making all those coconut bombs and tiger traps, though.

I never wanted to be part of a fictional family. I did want to go on adventures like Frodo pre-Moria (well, pre-Edoras really) or to be one of the Ronin Warriors or something, but the family thing? Not so much.

Closest was having daydreams of a much more fulfilling Harvest Moon marriage, which sounds far stranger and more pathetic now that I type it out than I originally thought.

Then: The Jetsons is the only right answer.

Now: Lilo's family from Lilo & Stich (at the end), because totally awesome aliens would be in the family, and a dude who convinced aliens mosquitoes were an endangered species would be watching over / out for us. Plus, I really can't think of anything else.

Then: The Starks
Now: The Martells

Then: I'm going to have to go with the March family in Little Women. I always wanted sisters.

Now: Meatman, I'm with you. The Belchers in Bob's Burgers are the best

Then:

Because of all the sweet swag.

Don't lie. You just want a Corgi.

Yeah, but the British Royal Family isn't fictional.

Corgis are all right, but I really want a Greyhound rescue!

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!

Who is your unlikely celebrity crush? Some suggestions might be:

-Your "not conventionally attractive" crush whose personality you love
-Your "frozen in time" crush on someone who is either dead or really old in the present day
-Your "bugs bunny in a dress" crush on a cartoon character
-Your "I'd make an exception" crush on someone who is not the gender you are usually attracted to
-Others?

Michelle Pfieffer as Catwoman. Only as Catwoman. Don't really care for her as anything else.

Not conventional: Geena Davis. Love a smart girl.
Frozen in Time: Sophia Loren.
Cartoon: Jessica Rabbit. I know, typical.
Exception: None
Others: Jayda Pinkett during her buff as fcuks period

Hmm. I guess Alyson Hannigan's too conventionally attractive for the first one, but it'd be her.

I am head-over-heels in love with Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca, and most of her 40s roles.

I have so many cartoon character crushes - but let's just go with Motoko from Love Hina (manga-version)

Idris. Motherducking. Elba.

Shirley Manson as the T-1001 Terminator. She will break your heart then take your life.

Pam Poovey

1. Melissa McCarthy or Mindy Kaling, I guess? It's hard for me to pin down exactly what "not conventionally attractive" would be.

2. I don't really have any crushes that are really old or have passed. Surprisingly I'm not that into the super classic era of movies.

3. Princess Jasmine from Aladdin.

4. It's a toss up between Benedict Cumberbatch and Hugh Jackman

Janeane Garafolo
Mary McDonald (President Roslin)
Airel (post-fish-bottom)
Ewan McGregor or Clive Owen

1. Most people who are famous enough to become celebrities are conventionally attractive, so... my primary celebrity crush is Alexis Denisof, ever since Wesley on Angel. Shame he's hardly in anything.

2. A pedestrian answer, but Harrison Ford as Han Solo or Indiana Jones

3. Milo Thatch from underrated, forgotten Disney movie Atlantis. He's an expert in linguistics, he's pretty cut for no good reason, and he's played by Michael J. Fox.

4. Hayley Atwell, dressed as Peggy Carter

I'm just defining conventionally attractive as "fits the common beauty standard." If you asked 20 people if the person is attractive/sexy, probably most of them would say yes.

- Does Sir Patrick Stewart count? Surely he counts as "really old," right?
- Basch from FF12 comes to mind as a "not conventionally attractive" video game character.

There is no way to know how old Patrick Stewart is....he never ages. He is, in fact, the only true "frozen in time" crush

Not conventional: This is difficult. Like CptDomano says, it's difficult to pin down. I'll say Sara Rue before she lost weight.
Frozen in time: Audrey Hepburn
Cartoon: Hm. Princess from Battle of the Planets/G-Force?
Exception: Idris Elba

Oh, let me add Sara Gilbert, from the Roseanne days (I was age appropriate then!) to my unconventional beauty crushes.
