It was fun and didn't take itself very seriously.

Yup; and I like many of their songs.

It is a 90's pop remake of "Hard Day's Night" which is one of the best movies ever made. It has Meatloaf. It has Elvis Costello. It has Richard Grant!

The most embarrassing concert that I ever went to is also one of the top three that I ever went to. Debbie Gibson / Tiffany a few years ago. They covered Guns 'n' Roses, Tiffany talked about her breast implants, and I sang along with "Electric Youth" even though I'm in my 30's (the new youth).

I love every embarassing experience I've ever experienced! No regrets!

I've said this before, and I'll say it again anytime this is ever brought up, but of all the Dune sequels it is by far the greatest.

Batman and Robin. Glad we snuck in and I didn't pay to see it.

Watching your own home movies is always a bit embarrassing.

I happily paid good money I really didn't have at the time to see a live version of The Morton Downey Jr. Show when I was in high school. For those of you young whipper-snappers, Morton Downey Jr. was a briefly lived late night talk show host during the late 80s whose show was basically Jerry Springer meets Rush Limbaugh: loud, brash, crude, and politically extremely conservative (I was a different person back then). To this day I can cringingly remember Downey's mic check: "Test, test, testicles."

I don't have anything I'm embarrassed to have seen, but I did once somehow manage to buy three sets of tickets to the same movie (Men in Black II) in the same day only to somehow miss two showings and only catch the third. That's embarrassing.

For a girl I ended up marrying...

Well, this might not exactly fit the bill, but I was in Atlanta a year or two ago at the huge aquarium there. They had a dolphin show thing, and it was really sad. It just felt super exploitative. I left after about 5 minutes of it starting.

I will always remember him as the asshole news reporter from Predator 2.

Excellently cast, I'd say.

Spoiler:

I actually feel the same way about animal trick shows, especially so with dolphins because they're likely intelligent enough to feel bored.

Whereas we went to a rescue aquarium in clearwater that was very humane, but also not very exciting to watch turtles with tumors swimming around...at least our money went to a good cause!

I let my wife pick the movie for movie night once.

Now we go to see separate movies.

I wish I could have done that. I didn't even have the option to go to the aquarium without the dolphin show in terms of admission.

If you ever make it to Newport, OR, The Oregon Coast Aquarium and The Hatfield Marine Science Center are both awesome and more conservation focused. I'm sure there is a bit of exploitation going on, but it doesn't make you cringe. Also:

We've never been to the NW, so a Vancouver/Seattle/Portland trip is definitely on our list of places to check out. We might need the moral recovery depending on how seeing some whales in Vancouver goes!

So I didn't have an answer in mind for this one (I too tend to have no shame and stand by my decisions!) but when I thought about embarrassment and performance I couldn't help but remember our night at the show Super Happy Fun Time Burlesque. At one point the dancers came into the audience and a thonged man gyrated on my, at the time, very pregnant belly. Fun for sure, but I think my cheeks were red the whole night.

The website home page is suitable for work, but not the additional photos!

I went to a Nickelback concert because Alice in Chains was opening for them. Left before NB came on, though.

That order is reversed. Makes me sad. Or mad. Nickelback isn't 1/8th as awesome as AIC.

Admittedly not the worst movie ever.

Oh man, this looks awesome!

Oh. My. God. I forgot about that.

Hey, you remember when I won the raffle?! (Sort of NSFW)

LOL - I was totally leaving it up to you to admit that happened.

Yup. Even post-Layne Staley, they were a great show. I went with my sister, and some of the nice Nickelback fans actually helped her get one of Jerry Cantrell's picks from the end of the set. So.. Nickelback may be awful, but at least two of their fans are great

I have a new one: UHF. I just bought the new Blu-Ray and made my wife watch it last night. My wife just didn't get it and in the middle of the movie she pause it turned towards me and asked "What is UHF?"

It then dawned on me, my wife is 7 years junior to me and never had anything but cable TV - no idea of what UHF TV was. I talked about it for about fifteen minutes. We finished the movie but I tried place myself in the mindset of not knowing what UHF TV was - and it then turns out to be a horrible horrible movie.

OH MY GOD I FORGOT IT'S HUMP DAY BECAUSE IT'S LIKE FRIDAY TODAY (WOO!)

Happy Not-So-Humpy Wednesday!!
