Happy Hump Day Survey!

Ice Cream: A friend of mine combined Red Velvet with Rum at a Maggie Moo's, and it tasted like you could get drunk off of it. Oddly delicious.

I don't like beer and have avoided irregular flavored potato chips. I think I tried ketchup once and that was enough for me.

Pass.
Pass.
Cappuccino.

Ice Cream: Bacon sundae at Burger King.

Beer: Anchor Steam = Bleh!
(Now if you said soda it would be: Turkey and Gravy)

Chips: Salt & Vinegar

Ice cream: durian
Beer: rauchbier
Chips: thankfully nothing too out there

Ice Cream: I'm pretty vanilla with my desert choices--nothing too out of the ordinary

Beer: Man, I can't remember the exact name of it, but it was a milk stout that Cathadan (?) brought to Tennessee Game Days last year.

Chips: Cheesy Garlic Bread. It was not that good. Although I do want to try the new Lays craptastic sounding cappuccino, wasabi ginger, and bacon mac & cheese.

Ice Cream: Beer
Beer: Chips
Chips: Ice Cream

Going food themed today. Answer as many as you want

(Courtesty of ccesarano) What is the most interesting ice cream flavor combination you've had?

Most unusual flavor of beer you've tried?

Weirdest flavor of potato chips?

Most people are posting single flavors, not flavor combinations! I normally don't combine ice cream flavors but I once had chai ice cream mixed with eggnog ice cream, and it was delicious.

I don't drink beer.

Chocolate covered potato chips are kind of weird...

In all seriousness, the bagel, lox and cream cheese ice cream dessert at WD-50 was amazing.

#envy

I had really great parsnip ice cream at Hearth a few years ago.

It's as terrible as you would imagine.

Fine... caramel and sea salt ice cream. :p

Oh man. I accidentally went to WD-40.

Now that would be a weird flavor combination.

I did that once too. I remained hungry, but was noticably less squeaky.

Ice Cream: I guess green tea ice cream? That has a strange flavor to it.

Beer: This is the weirdest one I can think of. It had a mineral and salty flavor to it that was strange. It definitely wasn't bad by any stretch.

Potato chips: I don't really have a good answer for this one. I suppose Dill pickle or vinegar and salt are the weirdest ones I've had. I will say the dumbest flavor I've seen recently are the Lay's wasabi ginger chips. When eating sushi, the pickled ginger is there to be used as a palate cleanser in between different food items. It's not something you would ever want to mix directly with a wasabi flavor.

What is the most interesting ice cream flavor combination you've had? Black Raspberry chip

Most unusual flavor of beer you've tried? Not quite a beer, but Ginger Hard Apple Cider (not a big beer person).

Weirdest flavor of potato chips? Cappuccino (why God, why?!).

In looking at this, I realize that I am boring.

Beer: Pineapple
Chips: Shrimp...not good at all!

Oddly enough, I have a can of that sitting on my desk at work and I haven't had the occasion to pop it open yet.

Back in college when I lived in Corvallis, OR, I had a roommate who worked for Oregon Trail Brewery. He and another friend had a story about the head brewer there. At one point, they were at a brewer games event at the coast. Apparently, he was drunk/high and had the brilliant idea to create a beer with some ocean water and to call it "Sip o' the Sea." It never happened, but I imagine it would have tasted like that beer. At the time, my friends would always joke rant and yell "Sip o' the Sea!" when discussing that story. So, be sure to let out a hearty "Sip o' the Sea!" while enjoying the beer.

I would think that high salinity would kill off the yeast though.

Note the "drunk/high" part. He may have been thinking of just infusing a little salt water into the beer after brewing it. I dunno.

Ice cream: The goat cheese, caramel, cashew gelato from Black Dog.
Beer: Nimble Lips, Noble Tongue #2 It has an aroma like buttered popcorn, but is refreshingly tart on the tongue, with a mild hop finish.
Chips: Don't know. I don't really eat chips.

Beer: Pineapple

One guy on the Strange Brews podcast is a pineapple beer devotee. I haven't tried them yet.

Oh, I've also had olive-oil ice cream in a brioche bun at Purple Pig. That was pretty good.

Ice cream - Garlic
Beer - Chili I suppose
Chips - Chicken & Waffles

HAPPY HUMP DAY!

What are the best songs whose lyrics contain the name of a city?

As much as I moan and groan about how overproduced this album is, gotta give it up for this song in particular:

Ah, a big one in the Detroit area Though you'll get the haters who complain that there is no South Detroit.
