Happy Hump Day Survey!

Can't embed Vimeo yet, since I haven't finished adding that feature, but I'm gonna go with the Time in a Bottle sequence from X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The Triple Lindy. Dangerfield's face mid-dive always leaves me in stitches.

Can't forget Cabin Fever's "Pancakes" scene.

No more drugs for that man!

Another one from The Matrix:

That was pretty great.

This is quite fantastic. Too bad the rest of the film wasn't up to par with the intro.

Ooh, I think mine is

Gave me chills the first time I saw it, but I don't think it entirely conveyed what it needed to for viewers who haven't read the comics.

MeatMan, OG_Slinger. I think we all watched the same top 10.

The Matrix was from memory, but yeah, I got The Watchmen intro from a top 10 list, which I saw in the theater but didn't think of.

Pft.

Huh.

All day and no one mentions Phoebe Cates in Fast Times at Ridgemont High?

Ok.

I thought of Royal Tenenbaums earlier and was going to post the ending bit at the cemetery. Then, I looked up a top X list and realized I totally forgot my favorite slow motion scene of all time.

Good call. Also, IIRC that was posted in response to a previous Hump Day topic.

As soon as I heard the first few notes, I was laughing my ass off in the theater.

Not my favorite, but definitely in my Top 10.

I wouldn't say it's the 'best' scene, but the slow motion sequence in Observe and Report with the flasher is memorable.

I re-watched Inception the other day, so I was going to suggest the slow motions scenes in that movie:

But I kinda like Grenn's suggest of Zombieland's opening better.

Roy "The Natural" Hobbs. The sparks + the music = goosebumps.

Such a lie - damn those padded bras - but what an entrance, what an introduction to everyone's favorite blonde

Favorite? Bah, I don't like her.

Happy Hump Day!

What are the most memorable movie scenes that take place at a great height?

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Spoiler:

"Koba......not.....ape!!!!" which has caused some debate, as Caesar basically murdered Koba in front of the shrewdness (group) of apes. Need to change those laws for the next movie Caesar!

Hmm. The Dubai climbing scene in Mission Impossible 4. Utterly terrifying on the big screen.
