I look forward to this thread all week.

I don't, all I see are empty white boxes, why are you all picking the same screenshot from some movie that doesn't show me anything?!

For the benefit of the internet-disabled: I already chose the Ogre/Ogress scene from Time Bandits, and love quite a few of what I've seen so far (Ferris Bueller and Ponyo especially). Here's a runner-up:

(Doody scene. Caddyshack.)

I can't believe I didn't think of two of the best pool scenes ever -- Caddyshack and Sandlot! I'm surprised none of you men-folk brought up Fast Times at Ridgemont High on that front.

HAPPY HUMP DAY! What is the best movie scene that takes place on/in water?

I never got to seeing that one. Word on the street is it has boobs in it, but it was made in the 80's, so I mean, yeah.

I couldn't find a proper clip of it, but I remember when I was in high school, a sophomore I think, my brother had me visit him in College for a weekend. I saw The Cell there, and basically the serial killer psycho guy had kidnapped a girl and locked her in a chamber. For x amount of time it would fill with water, then it would stop for x amount of time. Later on in the movie she started to count when it would start up again, and when it would stop. Time passes, she counts the water filling up, and hits the number where it should stop... only it doesn't. And as a result, she starts flipping out.

I do believe that was my first real exposure to true psychological horror aside from the first Alien.

I was going to post that one before, but all the NSFW stuff would've ruined this thread.

This is true...and I do commend you all for not just picking shower scenes which I did worry about!

That was totally one of my initial thoughts

Like the Porky's Shower Scene (NSFW NSFW!)?

?

How about the swimming pool scene from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation? (probably NSFW...)

HAPPY HUMP DAY!

Alright, let's build an imaginary video game themed amusement park. What rides (or "lands" if you're imagining it like Disney with sections) should we have?

Definitely a Half-Life monorail ride.

One of them better be entirely brown.

So realistic, so gritty, so visceral.

All the snack bars should be Fallout themed.

Oh there has to definitely be a Katamari ride. Maybe not a ride per se, but more like the Atlasphere match in American Gladiators, but with stuff to roll up instead of just knocking into other players.

Just an example in case you don't know what I'm talking about:

There needs to be a LucasArts section.

Big whoop.

Mushroom Kingdom will be adjacent to Pokemon World. In the middle will be the Super Smash Bros. Arcade.

The Bioshock Infinite Rails would make a good, Harry Potter-esque, video/rollercoaster combination.

Thunder Bluff! It was always my favorite city in World of Warcraft, even though I played Alliance way more than Horde. Probably one of my favorite cities in gaming just for its look and feel.

Rapture Land. I imagine it being where you put the shops so people can buy merchandise and food, complete with roaming Big Daddies (though I imagine having Little Sisters would prove impossible given age range, child labor laws, etc.).

A Space Mountain style ride themed after Star Fox, or more like the Back to the Future ride only you're given controls to try and gun down enemy fighters.

The Half-Life monorail ride must also take place during the fall of Black Mesa.

I know Universal Studios in Japan did a Resident Evil section recently, and I believe in the States there was a Silent Hill themed one. Stuff like that would work I imagine. Could also do Dead Space I suspect.

Official Mario Kart go-karting.

The Final Fantasy "airship" (hot balloon) ride or some such.

Exploring the sunken Mario ghost ship.

That's about all I got for now.
