PAX 2007 Slap and Tickle - Roll Call

We need some photoshop action with the names actually on the picture. After a long day of work and then school and then gym, scrolling back and forth in the thread is just....too much work.

Yeah, you're right, but seeing as how I'm on VACATION, it won't be coming from me just yet. Just got back from a great dinner with Podunk. Now my wife and I are at our hotel room with a giant jacuzzi tub. See you suckers later!

Sure to be posted from that riduculously small, but larger than an iphone, Sony handheld computer I would guess!

Good times this weekend, I just got back home. Time to wake up in 5 hours and face the J part of GWJ.

Nah, I have my laptop. How else would I play Civ4 BTS??

Sorry for the question marks guys I couldn't remember everyone's names.

I finally have some time to post about PAX yay!

I had a blast while I was out in Seattle, and will most definitely try my best to get out to PAX again next year.

This was by far the best turn out for a Slap and Tickle GWJ has ever had, at least as far as I know. It was great meeting and talking to everyone. There were so many people there I think I didn't get a chance to talk with everyone but hopefully it won't be the last time I have a chance to.

A big thanks to Momgamer for getting us set up at Kel's!

Schedule says Saturday through Wednesday. Coworker took this weekend off before I could get to it, otherwise I'd be in the city this weekend. Don't know which part of the mountain you wanted to visit, just understand that it isn't all accessible this year like it normally is. Paradise is a 3.5 hour drive from my area at Sunrise. And don't forget the recreational forecast. Which so far has good things to say about the weekdays.

Hey Druidpeak, I wanted to let you know that we'll be coming by Sunrise tomorrow sometime around or slightly after noon. Sent you a private message.

It was great meeting you all - I only wish there had been more time!

One thing that we've seen both in Dallas and now at PAX is that we should try hard to find a not-loud place to Slap and Tickle. I know that can be hard when surveying
places that serve adult beverages, but I think it can be done.

Also - "Dave" is actually "Gary", not that it will ever come up, unless he makes the Wii his first console in order to play Mario Kart. Gary lives in Seattle and is friends with myself, Mudder, TheWalt, and Sigsbee.

EDIT: Somehow forgot to mention how blown away I was by Tekman's awesome captioning abilities. That's sweet!

Fixed the Dave/Gary name error. I know a little bit of navigating my way around Photoshop CS. I used the Comic Sans MS font and arrow object from it's standard library. "Turning on" the shadow effect behind captions definitely helped in the readability of the text.

Thanks caption guys. Amazing, Thewalt looks exactly like his avatar!

I just realized E Hunnie was wearing her glasses that night. They're her "serious" glasses. She uses them with her students.

This is something I've always thought but never said. Kind of crazy!

Are y'all playing around or what? Someone else said that a couple months ago, and I just don't get it...

Dude, how was Rainier? The weather was gorgeous out here, I imagine it was perfect up at the mountain.

It was amazing. I'll post some pics when I get the chance. We actually got sunburned.

I hear Rainier is going to blow in the next 500 years or so...

Good thing it didn't while you were up there

Oh, and I have no idea what you people are talking about. It's a friggin cartoon character... jeez.

Great pics! It hurts to know that I was a mere 3 hour drive away.

I do, however, love the fact that in just about every pic, Podunk is throwing the horns.

Dude, I had to.

Sorry that I wasn't there either for the Sunday 11am meet as well Quintin. I lost track of time going to "The Culture of Japanese Gaming" panel and then going directly to the Far Cry 2 public demo. It was great to meet some of the folks who made it to Kell's.

Here's my stab at providing names for people in the slap and tickle pictures:
