PAX 2007 Slap and Tickle - Roll Call

Sweet, we have it in at Kells. Thanks, momgamer!

Not really an in, per se. My former father-in-law's gallery used to be next door (up until he died), and he painted a bunch of stuff for them. They only know me for getting dragged along on the annual pilgrimage in his honor my monster-in-law makes. If my BIL comes along, then we'll have a sort of "in".

And smythe, I get to sell tickets if you try to pull that on her.

The odds sheets are going to be on if she or E Hunnie kills me first.

I'll take two!

Jonny, I don't think i'll be able to make it anymore. -_- Roomie's moving out this month which means i have to pay full bills instead of split them. So no more Pax for me. Hopefully I'll be able to go to the S&T next year. Hope you guys have fun

Sorry to hear that, ilharae - first page list updated.

The event / PAX approaches!

What night(s) are we meeting again? I know it's in the thread, but I wasn't sure if we'd nailed down the time, etc. The wife and I are planning to do the following. We want to go to some stuff on Friday at PAX. Then Saturday we are going to proceed with our own plans during the daytime. Otherwise we're looking forward to dinner and drinks on Friday and/or Saturday, depending on what everyone else is doing.

Saturday at 6pm at Kell's. Does that work for you?

Hi jonny,

Count me in for Kell's and I'll most likely see ya Friday at the Ace Hotel for check-in before going down to PAX.

I think Fed's idea of printing out your Avatar/name on a sticker is great, carry through on this fabulous networking idea, you PAXers.

I scheduled a meeting later than I'd thought on Saturday, so I might be late to the party. But I'll be there. Where there's alcohol, there's Demiurge. Rabbit can now vouch for that.

Ok, Tekman, got you on the list.

Hey folks, hope to see the parents among you at my "Gaming with Children" panel at PAX on Sunday 3pm-4pm in Room C. I want to meet some Gamers with Jobs there!

Also, this is a schedule change. Seems Hal Halpin of the ECA has some scheduling problems so this is from the PAX front page today: by Robert Khoo
The Politics in Gaming Panel ran into some scheduling conflicts, so we've tweaked it slightly with the help of Gamerdad to bring you "Politics and Game Sanity" a panel and Q&A about politics, sense and videogame history.

That one is at Noon on Sunday. So all you non-parents are welcome to come (parents too, of course)
Come on over!

Aw, that sucks, Druid. Are you still only going to be at Rainier during the weekend? Because of PAX, my wife and I won't be visiting there until some time during the week.

As far as this nametag idea is concerned, I'm wondering if we should invent tags for SOs.

I wish I had more free time before getting on the plane. I'd have all sort s of fun with this idea.

I will probably drop by the bar as well for the meet and greet on Saturday. I will of course be demoing at the EOJ booth again.

Sigsbee and I are on the ground in Seattle now, but we did not print out our avatars or anything. I'm like a consultant; I come up with the idea, I don't actually *do* it.

Anyway, looking forward to it and if anyone wants to hook up before then please post something here. Between now and PAX we're kicking it with my best friend (who moved here some years ago) along with TheWalt and MudderFudder77.

I'm still at work, trying to push a report out But I should be able to leave in an hour (or two) at the most. Since I'm taking a train in, I wont see anyone till tomorrow evening anyway. Looking forward to it.

Leaving after work today. I don't think I'll have a laptop with me, by the looks of things.

I know. It's tragic.

Here's my schedule, in case anyone is interested.

I'm going to the Wil Wheaton and Gabe and Tycho talks at 4pm on Friday. Saturday, I'm going to the Wizards of the coast Panel at noon. And, of course, the Kells trip at 6.

I'll be bringing some board games: Notre Dame, San Juan, Beananza, and some casual Magic decks. On the DS, Puzzle Quest, Picross, Tetris, Metroid Pinball, and others. I'm really interested in checking out Rock Band, but I imagine the lines to play it will be murder.

And I'll have Vault Boy on my badge. See you guys there!

Feyd, I'll see if I can't get those printed out for you two. Anyone else?

I'm still at work out where the Red is Mond, and I don't know if I'll get over there tonight or not. I have to be onsite by 8am tomorrow anyways.

I just re-confirmed everything with Kells. Just go to the door at 6pm on Saturday and say you're with Gamers With Jobs. Or my meat-name is Colleen Hannon and she has that, too. They're expecting 20-30 people who will want drinks and may or may not want dinner.

Probably the vaguest reservation evar, but hey, whatcha gonna do?

I bet you do, (neme)slut!

Whatever!

My flight's going to be coming in late. They evacuated the O'Hare controll tower due to tornadoes.
