LOTRO Kinship Name and Server Choice

So should the first person who plays tomorrow start up the Kinship or wait on Certis to do it?

Wait, did we decide what server it was going to be?

EDIT: Nevermind, I learned to read. Landroval it is.

Landroval it is then! Do we have a good idea how many GWJ'ers will be playing LOTRO? I was thinking of starting a roll call thread. I'm thinking about starting with a dwarven hunter, myself.

I'll be in, probably as a hobbit guardian, because tiny tanks amuse me.

I have the preorder, so I'll be in the open beta just as soon as I can get through the impending server logjam. I'm not sure what class/race I'll settle on. I'll probably try several during the open beta period.

I'll also be giving LOTRO a whirl with early preorder access - at least for the first week before I go on MMO sabatical for a bit. Have not been in the closed beta so not sure what class/race I'll end up going with as a first toon out of the gate. So how "RP" are the RP servers? I'd like to jump onto Landroval as well, but am not exactly into hardcore/serious roleplaying as whatever toon I go with.

I've also got pre-order access. We shall see what combo I'm going to pick, since I really don't know squat about how it's working so far.

One possible issue, I'm not sure if this was mentioned.. Landroval is being declared the 'unofficial role-playing server' on the LOTRO realm forums. Is that going to bother anyone?

from my experience with WoW and other games, "roleplaying" server means not running around having a zillion conversations in public chat about the p*ssycat dolls. Seriously. Consider hit a first defense asshat filter. Most of us just hop on teamspeak anyway, so no RP there. Unless you want to. And can take the jokes. And the scorn. And the laughter.

Yeah, I don't think it will be an issue, I actually turn off /ooc and other global chats most of the time and get by just fine, plus it will hopefully cut down on the number of hobbits running around named Toejam or Numnutz.

I'll be playing in fits and starts. I almost got enough with the closed beta, but I'm too curious to see how the actual release and goodjer experience turns out, so I'll be spending at least a little time. Even if it's just doing some cooking and smoking of pipe weed. Human or Elf, probably hunter.

Look for me in your local tavern.

I expect I'll make an Elf Hunter, partially because I was human the first go-round.

Damn, and I was gonna play ToeJan McFarkleNuts.

I'll be hitting refresh a lot today, I'll post when the server's up.

I will probably be playing a dwarven minstrel, as they look to be the analogue of priests in this game.

I am a healbot yay!

Servers are up, woot!

Heck!

Im on, Torga. Some farker took Rabbit before I could

I won't be able to play for a few days, but I managed to hop on and get my favorite names. When I figure out what I'm going to play, I'll post.

Montalas in game.

I'm liking the little details and architectural enhancements that were added since the closed beta. But then the final intro quest died on me and I had to submit a bug report, so...still some of the same.

Well it is still beta hehe
