It's a strange kind of social networking thing. I've never been a fan of MySpace or Facebook, but I like this. I think because it's low maintenance.

I'm too lazy to update my status 5 times a day. 
Here's mine if anyone is interested, I just signed up last week, it seems they must be doing some work to it, my IM updater has been offline for several days now.
I set up a Twitter account early last week. I don't know how long I'll keep at it but I do like how they've made it incredibly easy to post with: Instant Messenger, Web, and Text Message.
I for one welcome our new Twitter overlords.
I haven't set up an account yet.
I have next week off, maybe I'll check it out from home if I don't forget.
There are some apps you can use for twitter updating. Twitterific on OSX is awesomeness in a bottle. Twitteroo for the PC works pretty well too. I don't update from IM anymore, mostly because of the massive IM outage they had a month or so ago.

I was having trouble just updating from the website today. I was having trouble adding people as friends too. Oh well, hopefully they get things worked out. However, I do like the idea that a cat is working on their servers.

The servers behind Twitter are in an almost constant state of suck. The service is way more popular than Evan was ever prepared for. I think the most foolproof method for twittering is through SMS, that always works.

Also, the idea isn't that you update every minute of every day. You can be subtle about it. My favorite Twitterers post maybe twice a day, and I almost always LOL each time. I sometimes only post once a day.
Also, don't discount the potential to find interesting links through Tweets. TinyURL is your friend.
