Seeing a lot of pictures of noodles lately... no love for yumi?

For some reason I thought your name was different or your tag was your name.

We just brought home a new puppy! Everybody, say "Hi," to River!

Adorable.

Didn't realize you were such a Firefly fan that you'd name your puppy after River Tam.

Spoiler:

I may do battle with the JWFBP, but I love Firefly.

But my daughter believes the puppy is River Song. I tried to suggest Cameron, but was shot down.

Well, the hair does resemble River Song more than River Tam.

We're working from home today.

Well, one of us is.

Man. I'm always working from home. Or from a coffee shop. Or a bar. Or the beach. Or a park. Or the courthouse (don't ask). Am I showing off? Yes. Yes I am.

It looks my avatar is making googly eyes at your cat.

What kind of puppy is that, Jayhawker? Labradoodle?

Close. Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix, otherwise known as a Cockapoo.

This is our second. I have asthma and a pretty horrible allergy to dogs, but this was the first breed/mix I ever had no reaction to. We had checked out Labradoodles to no avail. But our first, Crowley, even sleeps in our bed without causing me problems. We decided he needed a sibling to keep him a little more entertained.

Jayhawker, see if you can try out a Portuguese Water Dog. They are single-coats and usually easy to tolerate as they don't slobber as well.

It's been a while since I put up a picture of my 18 years old (and going strong) beastie.
She's a little "baggy" here since I just finish one of her subcutaneous fluids treatments. I've been doing them now for ... 2 1/2 years?
She seems to understand they are good for her and she is very co-operative with the process. (I am sure treats afterwards is also helping her be good.)
Vet says she should be a "poster cat" for the prescription food company and expects her to live into her 20's.
I hope so but I warned my wife that I will be a basket case when I do lose her.

A little blurry but here's the new member of our household, Tiger:

His real family is going to China for a year, and with the quarantine rules & such, they decided it was crazy to try to bring their pets with them and got folks to foster for a year. So, we'll have to give him back.

He's super-lovey and not afraid of us at all. Hasn't really been introduced to our other cats yet.

I picked up a couple of harnesses today and Zoe and Mal went for a walk! Inside, they acted like the harnesses were lead weights holding them down. Outside, they had much more interesting things to focus on.

Last month, I woke up with this laying on my leg.

When I got home yesterday, Chewie wasn't at the window, and didn't meet me at the door either. Where was he? Downstairs? In the backyard? Did he escape?!

Nope. My son took a nap after school with Chewie, who was so comfy he was too lazy to even say hello to me!

(My son is somewhere under that lump of blankets.)

Bruin at 6 months.

OMFG THAT IS THE CUTEST DOG EVAH!

Haha thanks, plenty more here https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...

One more in the thread, from when he was about 3 months old.

I have thought about doing this, but I don't want to have to worry about them getting fleas/ticks. Are you using Frontline or similar to prevent it?
