Post a picture of your pet!

I have one cat that would probably love harness walks. Keep thinking about trying it.

Looks like a nice trip

We had this little guy hanging out in a bird feeder in our backyard for several hours a night nearly every night during May and June. At first we thought he was just coming for the bird food but he kept coming regardless and would spend hours just playing and swinging in the feeder. A couple weeks ago the feeder went missing and he stopped coming around. Pretty certain he stole it.

Sweet!

Been a minute since I last posted photos of Billie. She was looking cute last night so here's some pics I snapped of her.

Too long without any dog/cat cuteness!

Shoutout to ZIKATON Dog Squeaky Toys for Aggressive Chewers for being the only soft rubber squeak toy I've found to not be destroyed by Billie. Amazingly she's had this toy for three months and it still squeaks and, despite her best efforts, has not been torn apart. (Not sponsored, I'm just amazed I found something my dog can't destroy)

It's been a HOT week. Here's Billie cooling off after a short walk in the 105 degree heat.

And here's her great smile.

Super cute!

Annie's kittens are all homed to friends, and we kept Arthur who is huge! Both are now fixed and chipped! It has been a long ride...

Do any of you have an automated cat toy that is built well and will last? Automated meaning it is rechargeable and moves by itself which attracts the cat's interest - like the balls that roll around. I've seen ads for some, but naturally assume they are all junk.

I really need to stop posting here when it's bad news.

We had to take the brother of my cat who passed a year or two back to the vets this week - we thought he had a tooth abcess.

Turns out it's a cancerous growth on his jaw bone. As you can imagine, we're really quite devastated.

IMAGE(https://i.imgur.com/6H3jsKi.jpg)

He's fine at the moment - a little sore as the vet removed one of his teeth just to make things more comfortable for him - but he's pushing 15 years old now (getting on a bit for a cat) and neither Mrs Sorb or I are prepared to put him through any major surgery that'll have a huge impact on the quality of the time he has remaining with us. We'll keep him comfortable, pain free and as happy as we can keep him.

And be very very grateful for whatever time he has left.

That's no fun.

We lost one of our cats to a jaw tumor.

Same. Learning how common it is made me really frustrated with the vet who didnt recommend more serious action. We didnt take it seriously enough until it was too late. She was only about 8

I forgot to post here. Thanksgiving weekend we woke up and saw our cat Hobbes was going from box to box and seemed to not be going. Red flag for male cats and urine blockage. So we rushed to emergency vet and yes, he had crystals and was blocked. $2k later and he's ok.

A little frustrating because we had prescription food at one point and our vet never responded to a renewal request. Our other cat was on wet food due to allergies, so we ended up doing a mix for this guy. But I guess the prescription urine stuff breaks up the crystals and is worth the money. So back on that for the rest of his life.

We were also required by the emergency vet to get a follow up appt with a regular vet. So we finally tried this place down the street from us, instead of the previously kind of flaky vet. Everything went very smooth with scheduling and checkup the other day. And they have already updated prescription for the new food. And oddly enough when we mentioned our old vet for transferring records they were like ooh yeah we never get any response from them. So it seems like we weren't alone. She was very great with the animals but very bad with the business and communication side of stuff. So I guess we're moving on with both cats for now.

This is our latest, we weren’t really looking for a new dog yet after recently loosing our oldest but his breeder reached out looking to find him a home because his owner was sick (and has since passed)

He turned two in October. Still lots of puppy energy and youthful enthusiasm.

Wow. That is huge for only 2!

Flynn on watch while I did some gardening yesterday. He loves being out with me in the garden.

Cute kitties!!

I used to be a cat person before Billie came along. Now I'm a full-blown dog person.

Billie turned two this month and we've been going on walks through a local dog trainer where we might be walking trails with about a dozen other dogs. It's been a lot fun.

Here's her after one of those walks, tired but proud:

Here she is seeing a lake for the first time; she did not want to get her feet wet:

Here she is just chilling:

The Squirrelbane.
Haven't yet managed to snag a squirrel chase photo because she's too darn fast. Fortunately for them, the squirrels are even faster.

Eater of pig ears too, it appears. Totes adorbs.

Malla Easter Yawn. Probably doesn't like her picture being taken any more than I do.
