Sorry. Great pictures. Celebrate the life she had.
So sorry FH. Farah looked like a wonderful girl.
I'm so sorry, FH. I'm glad she brought so much to your life, and you to hers.
So so sorry FH.
I’m sorry for your loss FH
Sorry, FH. She was a beaut, and those are some lovely pictures.
Thanks everyone for the kind words. It still feels like there's a huge hole in my life but I'm starting to process it all. Hoping someday I'll be ready to let another furry baby into my life. Pets really are special.

We got a new couch! Now we can all fit!
Woot!
Good for you for having 4 dogs! We had 2, the 3rd was my wife's idea (not mine) but I've gotten used to 3. I just could not imagine adding another one, 3 is definitely a handful that I never expected (haha).
Great looking dogs though
Those are some happy pups!

There is actually a fifth dog, but she is elderly and we keep her separated from the four high-energy younglings, so she is rarely featured in the "family pictures." But I hear you --three is already quite enough dogs!

Boosting for more quality Billie posts.
Happy to oblige. It's always an adventure with Billie.
I've posted the dogs before but this was a great picture so have to share. From left to right:
Thor - 2 years old. Pitbull, Rottweiler, American Staffordshire Terrier Mix (And 6% pug as well!)
Bo - 13 years old. Puggle
Phoebe - 13 years old. Puggle (And not from the same litter as Bo but they look so similar, it's great)
This is Srumpy showing how displeased he is to have his photo taken.
And here he is being the almost perfect grilling companion.
Don't worry, I am aware of over posting my Scrumpy boy, but here we are. Here he is feeling very proud of himself for finding a ball.
And here he's standing still, only because he's buckled into the car. This morning was a very wet and muddy morning. He also rolled in something that looked like a bunch of old poo, so that was something...
We can never have enough Scrumpy. Just like his namesake. Post away!
Haha can't argue with that logic!
I think there's something wrong with my cat.
Very wrong.
Billie thinks the bigger the stick... the better.
And finally, we've been working on Billie making Friends...
I was told not to buy a DNA test for Billie but to wait for my birthday- either my parents or my sister want to get it for me. Meanwhile it's been driving me nuts not knowing what her genetic makeup is. The shelter called her a "pointer mix" but my vet doesn't see much pointer in her.
I've taken to using the look-up function on my phone to find similar dog photos. They keep suggesting a Mountain Cur, which is a breed I haven't heard of. Also Whippet, Dachshund and Catahoula Leopard dog are breeds that show up depending on the pic. Should be interesting to see how accurate Siri is when finally do the DNA in a few weeks.
Yeah, you're not going to know until you do the DNA test. The shelter said my dog was "a shepherd mix" but she does not have any shepherd in her at all. And she kind of looks like a plott hound, but, again, 0% plott in the DNA. Her highest percentage is actually border collie, which I would never would have guessed in a million years.
Billie is a cutie, whatever she is.
I would definitely recommend Embark for a DNA test. We got one done on our pup when we first got him. You get a lot of data and a shareable link as well
My wife and I are curious as to the make up of our puppy. The vet said shi tzu and boston terrier. Her mom was a mix but definitely strong in shi tzu. The boston elements I see are the coloring and her top heavy stature. (and her being way stronger than her 13.6 lbs should be)
At the end of the day, she is a Pepper (her name). She is her own unique self, the best thing that ever happened to us and someone I wouldn't trade for anything.
Shi Tzus are definitely not the strongest dogs out there for their size.
Billie is a cutie for sure!
Also, all this talk of Shih Tzus forces me to post a couple of recent pictures of my boy Grover:
I love Shih Tzus. Best fly-catching dogs ever!
