Finished Any Games Lately?

Pages

Tis' the season for impulse buying a lot of games and flitting between them like finicky bees looking for the perfect flower. In an effort to justify my impulse buys I am trying to stick with two single player games at a time so I'll actually get through them.

I can now say that I've finished Gears of War (coop with Gaald) and tonight I finished off Rainbow Six: Vegas in single player. I'm really close to wrapping up Neverwinter Nights 2, which will be just in time for my Wii component cables to arrive so I can tackle Zelda this weekend.

I don't know if you can "finish" Viva Pinata, but my garden is kicking rad now. I'm up to level 26.

How you doin'?

Recently finished Ratchet: Deadlocked co-op mode with my brother-in-law (we're going through it a second time to max out the weapons). Also, I'm close to finishing Beyond Good & Evil for a third (almost fourth) time, and I'm pretty close to the end of Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks.

EDIT: Also, I beat Psychonauts, God of War, and Shadow of the Colossus last month.

Gears of War on casual and hardcore. Debating going through on insane.
Working on my Pinata garden as well.
Picked up R6, but haven't been able to sit down and devote a good chunk of time to it.

Probably going to wait until after we move before I try to wrap up some other games that I've been meaning to finish for almost a year (King Kong, PDZ, Condemned).

I'm stuck on the final boss fights for Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War, and Godhand. Last game I beat was co-op Gears of War with KrazyTaco on hardcore. \m/

Before that Company of Heroes in September and Dawn of War: Dark Crusade a few weeks after that.

I also finished GoW on coop but any sense of achievement is killed by the fact that I have multiple unfinished single player games going on like:

NWN2
Oblivion (spent about 16 hours on that one last weekend)
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
R6: Vegas
Zelda (waiting for wii component cables)
Etc.

Oblivion (spent about 16 hours on that one last weekend)

Oh right! Just finished the main plot last week, too bad the damn Knights content didn't work for me.

Didn't you mention in the conference call a couple weeks ago that Bethesda support helped you get your free content up and and running?

I think the last game I finished before Gears was Splinter Cell, and I'm a pluggin' away at the huge world of Saint's Row in the hopes of getting past the 52% where it seems like I've been forever! Oh yeah, I hope to have a kickin' Viva Pinata garden at some point too, but I'm moving a bit slower than you guys

I would also like to finish Bully and sink my teeth into that a bit more, great game. And a ton of other ones I put on the back burner.. I still can't believe I haven't finished Dead Rising..

I just finished Zelda: Wind Waker about three weeks ago.
Dawn of War: Dark Crusade just before that.

I'm currently over half-way through the campaign in Company of Heroes to build up my mad skills before I take the multiplayer dive against the ravening pack of wolves that are Thin, Edwin and the rest.

Finished up the single-player Company of Heroes campaign the other day. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory was a couple of weeks ago.

Yup, me too. I got stuck on the underground parking garage mission.

I need to add Dark Crusade and Zelda: WW to my pile on unfinished games. I finished Company of Heroes only to flake out on the multiplayer crew and move on to other games.

We really have an embarrassment of riches with all the good games out now.

Well earlier last month, I finished Oblivion (as "finished" as I'm willing to go with it - 1000'd the Achievements)

I plowed through Gears of War and Rainbow Six: Vegas.

I'm close to the end of Call of Duty 3, even though it's bad (single player, that is).

Not going to play much for the next couple of weeks, finals and projects and all. Then I will play my brains out for a week. Then I have to stop playing again and get ready to wave bye-bye to bachelorhood.

I need to get Viva Pinata though.

I finished Gears of War on Casual with Zero. Yoyoson and I attempted to do it on Hardcore but only got to chapter 4. I pretty much pwned Viva Pinata (level 52), although I'm going to keep playing so I can get the Chewnicorn. Unfortunately the next couple weeks are for studying, so no games will be played.

I forgot to add I finally finished Vampire: TMB last month as well as Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (both fine games btw).

I'll admit they did get the game authorized properly so it would install, I hadn't actually tried to run it yet. Even though it was showing in the data list as active, I couldn't get the quest to kick in. Then I got busy

Rainbow Six Vegas on Normal
Finally went back and beat Aria of Sorrow for the GBA

I think that's it lately.

I finished 72 Hour Mode on Dead Rising, burning through Extended now. The game is a hell of a lot easier on the second time through, i'd say more fun too as you don't have to worry much about dying. I should be finishing up Chaos Theory sometime this week. I have been playing through GTA: San Andreas as well, just got out of the first city last night. I really love the exploration aspect to the game. I had the sudden urge to play Chrono Trigger today, so thats most likely what will be up next!

I recently beat Vegas and I'm in progress of beating GRAW 360 (just rented it recently.) The {ableist slur} AI is driving me nuts, but I'm determined to beat it. My Wii component cables should be here soon, then it'll be Zelda for me. I have NWN2, DarkStar One and Dark Crusade which I haven't even started yet, but I'm waiting for my Retail Edge upgrade to arrive before I start them. My girlfriend will be gone all weekend so I hope to put in a lot of marathons then.

This past weekend I completed from start to finish:

Double Agent on hard (oddly enough the game is much easier and more fun on hard).
Gears on Insane again with Souldaddy, but we skipped a chapter he already had as Dom.
Call of Duty 2 on Veteran, one of the best gaming experiences ever.

Double Agent on hard (oddly enough the game is much easier and more fun on hard).

Do tell, I still have to play that one! Why is it easier on hard? And more fun?

I just finished Phoenix Wright 2(Import version) for the DS about an hour ago. 2 weeks before that, I beat Marvel Ultimate Alliance for the 360.

Hmm productive month for me, I bet I average about a 0.5 GBM (Games Beat Monthly).

*sigh* No.

I am, however, close to finishing Prey judging on the fact that a.) people say it's a damn short game, and b.) I'm having way too much fun.

Nevertheless, it's one of those games that I said I wouldn't get until it was $20 or less. I grabbed it for $15.74 new, so... an easy purchase for me. So much fun, and the first game that has ever made my stomach lurch a little.

I finally finished Metal Arms: Glitch in the System on "Nuts of Steel" difficulty! Only took 2 years!

Perhaps being bored is a greater threat to success than the challenge of "hard" could ever be.

Interesting. Prey is a game I only finished because it was damn short. I thought it was only mildly fun, but everyone else seemed to like it more than me. It just never clicked with me, I guess.

Damn, that's impressive. Metal Arms was not easy, and I played the lower difficultly levels.

Anyway, I haven't finished a game since NSMB, unless you count becoming a Pro bowler in Wii Sports.

On easy it felt like they wanted you to shoot everyone about 90% of the time. On hard you just about never have bullets, to the point that it is a bit silly that he is toting around a gun at all. As far as I can tell the game compensates your inability to Rambo by making the enemies less attentive. They lose the psychic ability to just know where you are. These changes very much benefit my playstyle and do not detract from it at all.

It also helped to have the foreknowledge that the trust meter and percentage score at the end are a load of sh't, so I just ignored them.

I have still never defeated that last boss.

Amen! The last game I finished was FEAR (september or october, can't remember) on Hard. I need the challenge in shooters or I get bored and start playing sloppy. Which gets me killed way more often.

I will finish NWN2 in a month or so. Maybe.

Umm... Just Gears of War on casual. Before that... I think it was Phoenix Wright. I have a lot of games and I just keeping jumping from game to game. I have GADD.

Man.. I'm getting C:PoR soon. Damn.

Few weekends ago I finished Dragon Quest VIII, probably the longest game I've ever finished (80 hours). Currently finishing Stubbs the Zombie (on a PC). So, it leaves only about 200 games to finish to clear my stack. But I plan to burn through Psychonauts and Final Fantasy X for a second time, so I guess the stack will not diminish anytime soon. Also, there is Guitar Hero II heading my way, so for a few weeks everything will be put on hold. Let the carpal commence!

I'm 50% in NWN2 (I think) and I'm 75% into my second Medieval 2 campaign (didn't finish the first).

For the rest I play a lot of MP games.
