Legend of Roo Cont'd: Now With Baby Photos (56k joy)

Elizabeth Katerina (aka Ellie aka Ellie Katia)
born November 2nd, 2006 at 4:15pm (EET) in Athens, Greece
3.27 kg (7 lbs 3 oz)
53 cm (21 inches)

As you can see from photos below (really slow Greek server, sorry folks), mom and baby are doing very well.
I am happier than I can describe in words. I stayed late at the hospital and my wife and I took turns holding her.

Bliss. Absolute best day of my life.

Feel free to caption as you see fit.

"FOR THE ALLIANCE!"

Shield, Hearth!

Seriously, when does the feel-good movie of the year starring you come out? The Roo Story, coming soon to a theater near you.

Congratulations!

I'm so, so happy for you both! Isn't it the most amazing feeling in the world? Congratulations - may both of you always feel as happy as you do right now!

Subtitled: Beginnings!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Roo...and Little Roo, too!

One day, you'll have to tell her all about your story. Grats!

Congrats! Just wait until your wife exerts this torture on your child:

That was the day of the Seahawks/Vikes game and we had seats in the hawk endzone. Good times.

And Picasa is your friend or another site like it.

What a cutie! Congrats, Roo!

Congrats Roo!

Your story has truly been inspiring.

Of course, you will have to do something like bring about world peace to top yourself.

Roo has inspired me to go to Zaire and marry the princess who has been emailing me for a while. I can't lose!

Congrats, Roo. Your story is indeed a LEGEND.

So the saga continues: Roo, the Next Generation!

Congratulations, you old and happy fart

Seriously dude, where the hell can this tale go now? You've got to start playing the lottery or something.

Congratulations, Roo! Don't worry, you guys will get a full night's sleep in about...what time is it now ? ...in about EIGHT MONTHS!!!! Ah, kids are great man, enjoy every minute.

Congratulations Roo! Your kid is completely adorable!

Congratuations Roo. I guess we won't be hearing from you so much anymore, as you get worn down by your new addition.

Don't believe him, our guy was 3mos on Halloween and he was only waking up once per night after the first week.
Since he started daycare on Monday he's slept through the night every night.

They must use stronger liquor in thier bottles.

You've got to f'ing be kidding me. Roo, do you ever hear the soundtrack? The one that has to ostensibly be playing everywhere you go?

That is completely AWESOME, dude!

EDIT:
@ Eezy

Ours is 11 mos, and he still doesn't always sleep through the night. I blame his mother.

We should have an official thread on 'being a new dad' as it seems to happen around here a lot!

Congrats man!!!

What? There's some kind of fertility bonus to GWJ? Does this have anything to do with the weiner bomb?

Oh god, I hope not.

Hi Ellie!!!

Seconded!

Congratulations, man. The path you've taken is really an inspiration to just go for it in life.

So, is it too soon to start her in on the video games?

That mean more women will come out of the woodwork to claim I fathered their children?

Thanks so much you all. And yeah, I thought after last summer I couldn't get any happier. And then somebody queued the cheesey '70s music...preggers....married....and now the baby girl of my dreams. My mom asked us when we thought of the name, so I told her the truth: 1989.

Hey, if you're looking, as it turns out there are alot of unmarried hot greek chicks in the 28-35 year old range (as men in this age range try to marry someone younger...like someone 15 years younger than them.) I've been asked multiple, multiple times if I have friends in the U.S. who'd like to visit Greece....

Just somthin' to keep in mind.

And now, with many, many, many thanks to Eezy of the BD, if you want to truly go crazy, feel free to look at all the baby goodness here. It was so very easy to download picasa and upload these. My mom is especially grateful, as she has to wait another month before she sees the baby (her flight's in December) and this way she gets to see the whole "roll" so to speak.

Note to self the next ex-Mrs Bordone will be from Greece. I keed. I keed.

I don't know about this global trend but I like it!
