What do you like to watch on a sick day?

Breaking Bonaduce can make anyone feel good about their lives.

I generally do a marathon of whatever TV show I'm into at the moment. Recent (the last two years) winners have been;
LOST
Clone High
Futurama
Animaniacs
Boston Legal
Freaks And Geeks

Movies: Hackers, Heist, Ronin, Clerks

TV: Beavis & Butthead, Clerks, Daria

Also, Beauty & The Beast always cheers me up when I'm feeling under the weather. That and Futurama.

That's a good point. Nothing makes you feel better than "Flavor of Love".

If I have a sick day, I tend to stay in bed as this defines the "I am truly sick" boundary. Hopefully this also keeps me from infecting my wife/kids, so I just keep to myself and sleep as much as possible.

Being trapped in bed, I usually just take it as that rare opportunity(?) to watch Jerry Springer or some ridiculous court/talk show that I never spend time on during a 'normal' day.

Morbid curiousity or possibly the hope that by watching the over-the-top mess that others have made of their lives, it might actually reinforce my sense that I am doing alright, making me feel better, and ultimately I recover faster. Beware his new age recovery technique though, for there is also the doubled edged danger that if I am really fighting a nasty bug, the drama witnessed on tv may put me in a downward spiral, but I usually take that chance.

I usually like to throw in The Last Starfighter, don't know why really. By the way the director of that movie - Nick Castle - was "The Shape" in Halloween.

Last time I was really sick, A&E was showing a Law and Order marathon. Despite the fever and not being able to eat solid food (thanks, strep), it was a pretty good day

That show really makes me ill.

Okay, my real answer then.

The Prisoner
Equilibrium
Aliens
The man with no name trilogy

I was sick yesterday and I never turned tv on, read and played wow a bit.

You people who don't take sick days, I don't understand you. To those of you about to play hooky, play on.

I watch the inside of my eyelids...sleep, sleep, and more sleep!!!

It's very hard to take a sick day when you work out of your house

When sick, I'm in bed with laptop next to me.

Dude. The man is looking for a soulmate. What is your damage?

Another vote for "The Price Is Right". Also, based on how doped-up on medicine I am, sometimes I will throw in "Lazytown" or that Dora the Explorer spinoff to make the world seem very weird. For the afternoon i'll channel-surf until something worthwhile pops up, and if that's lacking, re-watching Justice League is always a lark.

You gotta watch Price. It goes well with breakfast. I must watch Empire Strikes Back if I'm truly sick. It helped me once off a bad *experience* in college.

Firefly is good, but X-Com is better.

I took half a sick day today and made sample wedding invitations on my home printer. Huge romance points!

Just don't smoke in bed, traiciotomy man.

Its funny how when we're really sick, we regress to the things we liked when we were kids. For me its lots of 80's movies by John Hughes: Vacation, Weird Science, Ferris Bueller, Planes Trains & Automobiles, Uncle Buck. Also early Simpsons dvds.

Rocky and Bullwinkle

TV or ceiling. Either is fine.

What? I like it when I'm able to not do anything, to leave my brain on idle for a while. It is a rare commodity.
