Keith Olbermann is my new hero

Wow. Too bad Bush's handlers will never let him see it.

More Kieth. I found this hilarious, and true on many levels:

Anybody got a transcript from his 9/11 commentary? I can look for it but won't have time until maybe tonight.

I don't think the vast majority of people pay enough attention to the issues

Elections are about issues? That's a surprise. To me it usually ends up on who can bash the other guy's credibilty the most.

Here you go.

Olbermann in 2008!

I'll say the same thing I saw about Stewart and Colbert. As refreshing as what they say often is, we need them more OUTSIDE the system. Someone has to hold govt. accountable (Democrat or Republican), especially in an age when the press is absent from doing their duty in this regard.

Olbermann. Love him! His recent comments -- instant classics.

More Olbermann.

I think he's the only guy that can penetrate my 'Bush fatigue' and get me riled up anymore. Any Dem with a brain should be inviting him to speak on their behalf.

Holy hell, I think I'm in love.

Keith reveals the *real* terrorists in America.

The speech that was this thread's topic post was good, but weaker than I think most people were willing to admit. This one? Fantastic. It's angrier, more coherent, and more pointed. The first one essentially came to partisan ranting. This one was far, far better.

The man has got some serious chutzpah ... I like his style and I think I will also send him a missive. I don't really watch TV but does he do these Special Comments every night or is it a weekly thing?

After watching for a week, Olbermann seems like an animated left-wing blog. He's definitely going for the 'opinion as news' approach, similar to O'Reilly.

I also find it interesting that he dings the GOP for using Osama in an add but never mentioned that the Dems had an ad with Osama last month.

It is also interesting that less than a month ago he criticized Bush because a monument at Ground Zero was taking too long, now he criticizes Bush for the fact that some remains were found. I'm not quite sure how Bush is responsible for either. But hey, who cares, right? As long as Olbermann gets to rant.

Which is where I think the appeal is as it not something you see alot of coming from the left. At least not on TV but I could be wrong as I don't watch a whole lot of TV. I did catch the O'Reilly thing with Wesley Clark and was yet again put off by the guy. O'Reilly that is ... I like Clark. Does Olbermann have people on his show to beat up on? I just catch these Special Comments, which I like ... alot.

I think Olbermann's point was that Bush should have been a leader, taken ownership and personally lit a fire under whatever is taking so long out there. With Bush, it so often seems that the buck stops three levels beneath him.
