Sad News

Sincere condolences to you and your family. Very sad.

I am so sorry to hear this. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Sad news indeed.

If you'd like any free webspace for some of his pictures / memorial page /etc., I'll be more than happy to donate as much as you need.

I have no words. Please accept my condolescences.

I'm so sorry for you loss. As with everyone else here, if there is anything we can do, just say the word. You and your family will be in my thoughts.

I am sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. God that was sudden; I just don't know what to say.

I'll raise a glass to Joe tonight.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I never got the chance to know your husband at all, but by the sound of it, he was well-loved here, which isn't surprising.

You and your family will be in my thoughts. I hope you will be able to be strong when you need to be, and allow yourself to be weak when you need to be. Godspeed to you and yours.

Now that I've had the day to absorb the shock, I just wanted to say that Joe was a good friend and valued member of the community. He'll be missed 'round these parts very much.

You have my deepest condolances.
I am deeply sorry for your loss, sad to hear such a story, hope all goes well for you and your familly.

I am so very sorry for your loss.

I truly believe once our bodies have past that our spirit moves on to something better, I am sure that where ever he is Joe will always be with you. I hope the idea of that can give you and your son some comfort.

Praying for you and the little one, Jane, and wishing for any way to be helpful to you.

Please do let Elysium know where you are and what kind of assistance you could use.

Jane, I am so sorry for the loss that you and your son have suffered. You are an amazingly strong woman to be able to post here and let us know. We really appreciate your thoughtfulness in doing so. Joe was a wonderful member of our community, funny and kindhearted. He will be sorely missed.

I wish there were something that I could do or say to help you. Please do contact us and let us know if there is anything that the GWJ community can do for you. Our thoughts are with you and your son.

As the rest of the group has said, let us know if we can do anything. I know the pain is great when you lose someone. I don't really know what else to say.

I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry... I will be praying for you and your family.

I am also so very sorry for your loss and all of GWJ's loss.

Since you have honored us by notifying us of his passing, I wonder if maybe it would help the grieving process if there was anything you could think he might have liked said to us on his behalf on his passing. I know 38 is way to young to think about your passing. However, there may have been some stand out moments of his involvment with GWJ that he was overly excited to share with his family.

Its an age old wives tale that talking helps. Im sure you could find thousands of patient listeners in this community.

Today I ponder life and death, as I celebrate my son's fifth birthday and offer condolences to you for the loss of your husband and to your son for the loss of his father.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. Please do let us know if there's any way we can help.

Terribly sorry to hear your news. Condolences to both you and your son.

I didn't really know him in these forums, but I offer condolences and Godspeed.

My sincerest condolences.

Posting the news on a forum such as this must be very difficult, and I admire your courage. Perhaps, if there are similar unpleasant notices to put out on the Internet, one of the GWJ 'elders' would be willing to take that burden from you?

I did not know your husband Mrs. Massey as I am new here, but I am extremely sorry for your loss. You are in the thoughts of many here and I add my voice to those who offer whatever help they can.

Very sad. Sorry for your loss.

Thank you letting us all know, I"m sure it was not easy.

Mrs. Massey,

I cannot begin to express how truly sorry I am at your loss. Joe was a wonderful and valuable member of this community and all of those that talked with him (even those of us that occasionally didn't see eye to eye with him) liked and respected him.

There are no easy words to make grief better, so I won't pretend to have them. I know that losing someone you love, especially when it is unexpected, is a terrible experience. I think I speak for the other GWJ'ers when I say how flattered we are that you took time to let us know about your situation. If there is anything that can be done, I am sure that we will mobilize and help.

You and your son will be in my prayers.

You and your son have my condolences as well, Mrs. Massey.

I'm sorry for your loss. You have my condolences. If there is anything we can do please contact Elysium so he can give us the word.

If only words could ever begin to match the comfort we'd like to be able to give at a time like this. We admire greatly the courage and strength to come and let all us ghosts know about the all-too-real passing of your beloved. You truly will be in my thoughts, and I only wish that meant something useful to you or your son.

And although I suppose I risk triteness, I do think its a tribute to the community GWJ has built here, that such news would bring such a sincere, truly felt outpouring of sentiment. I only hope Jane and Dylan get a sense of that when they read these posts, to realize that even here, amidst all the internet's anonymity, Joe was known, respected, and liked.

My condolences as well. Let us know how we can help, either Jane or Ely.

"Good night sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest..."

I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Stickies can be missed, I direct your attention here.
