Sad News

Please, accept my condolences.

So, so sorry to hear this devastating news. You and your family will be in our prayers - many wishes of peace and comfort for you and your loved ones.

I am so sorry for your loss. Our thougts are with you and your family.

The love you take is equal to the love you give. Joe is leaving with a lot of love. Good luck to your family, and god bless.

Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

I'm so sorry. As others have said, if there's anything anyone can do, just say the word.

Jane,

This is a terrible and difficult time for you, and if there is anything I can do to help you through it, please don't hesitate to send me a message. You have my deepest sympathies.

Joe will be missed here, as well. He was an articulate, friendly voice on the boards that was beloved by everyone who met him. We were lucky to have had the experience of knowing him. His absence will felt for a long time.

My prayers are with him as he journeys through the afterlife, and with you and your son as you remember his strengths and his love for you as you face the difficult days ahead.

Please remember that even though GWJ is primarily an internet forum, we're also a very tightly knit community. Let us know if there is anything, and I mean anything, we can do to help you.

Again, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. So sorry. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Reading all the posts here made me well up in the eyes a little.

Like everyone else, you point us to anything we can do and we will help out.

It's been said before by more eloquent men and women than I, but it bears repeating.

I'm very sorry this has struck you and your family, my sympathies are with you. I didn't interact with Joe at all, but I'd be glad to provide whatever assistance I can.

I am very sorry to hear this. As others have said, it's a terrible tragedy. I was also moved by your thoughtfulness at posting this news here, for your husband's online friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

My condolences Mrs. Massey. You'll be in my family's prayers.

I never got a chance to know One_of_47, but, I just wanted to say that this community has come to mean a lot to me as an entity as well as the individual members. Any loss or thinning to the group as a whole for any reason is a tragedy to me. The fact that the reason behind this loss is so terrible pushes the sadness of it into. . . well, I can't even think of a word to describe it. It's one of those emotions that scholars must have purposefully omitted from text to try and spare the world from it's existence.

I'm so sorry.

I wish there was something erudite I could say to make this loss any less tragic. But I fear there are no words to make us miss our loved ones any less. Know that your suffering and loss are in our hearts as well.

Having gone through my own health crisis lately, I feel deeply sympathetic to your plight. If there's anything I can do, anything you need, I'd be happy to help.

I am very sorry to hear this. My condolences to you and your family.

Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Everything remains as it was.
The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no sorrow in your tone.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort
Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again.

Truth.
I feel sorry for your loss Jane. I will help in anyway possible. Keep looking forward and never forget.

Jane, I read your news with great heartache. As saddened as I am to hear of your loss, I'm glad you let us know. We're honored to share, in our own small way, a portion of your grief. My thoughts go out to you and your son. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Your husband was a much-appreciated and generous member of this small community. I'm sure his contributions as a husband and father were immeasurably greater, and I can only imagine what you and your family must be going though. If there's anything we can do to help, please let us know.

Sigh, so very sorry for the lost. And please, like others have mentioned, let us know how we may help.

Others have said it much more eloquently than I can.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss, and offer you my condolences.

My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

It is times like these that I realize that I sometimes wear my emotions on my sleeve, and am deeply moved by your loss.

I havn't posted here in a long time, but I must say be strong through this difficult time.
My thoughts are with you and as has already been stated, if there's anything we can do, or if there is a charity set up, please let us know.

My deepest and most sincere sympathies and condolences to you, your family, and your son. As a father of a young one I cannot imagine what you must be going through. My thoughts are with you and your son.

Wow.

Thank you for coming here and telling us this very sad news, Jane, you are incredibly strong to be able to do so. I am deeply sorry for your family's loss, and for our loss. Deva's right, this is a tight knit community, I've made many friends here and you honor us by sharing this. Know that if there's anything we can do, we are here for you. I will keep you and your son in my thoughts.

Even though this day will come for all of us and a life well lived is not a thing to mourn, I'm so sorry he had to go so soon. I hope you don't mind me saying this, as I don't know you personally, but stay strong in the days ahead, he will live on through your love, his son's love, and in all of our memories.

This perhaps goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway, One_of_47 will not be forgotten by the members of this site that were lucky enough to have known him in the small but significant way we can know our online friends.

I am so sorry for the loss of your husband at such an early age (my age!) or any age for that matter. Especially, when such a young child is left behind. Truly heartbreaking.

Hopefully, it is some small condolence that there are so many people that cared for him to leave such thoughtful messages on this board.

I am truly and deeply sorry for your family's loss, and wish you only the best in this difficult time.

To Joe...

Wow... just wow...:(

I seem to remember One's first post in regards to me... specifically that he and everyone else was very confused by my ending every post with "Demos out!".

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss for both you and your child. If we, the members of this community, can do anything to help, you need only ask.

I am so sorry to hear this. Please let us know if there is anything we can do.
