Why do I have 50 games installed on my PC? Because I can.

*looks at the hundreds upon hundreds of installed games on my own PC*

Because you have iron self-discipline and/or not enough storage?

LOL. Those games are taking up about 3 TB of space on my 4 TB m.2 system drive (the one I don't back up). All my documents and important files are on my 4 TB m.2 data drive. So yeah, I could probably install another fifty or more, but then I'd have to think harder about how I do backups.

The mobo has space for 2 more m.2 drives and 4 SATA drives, too, so I could get pretty crazy if I really wanted to.

I used to have a ton of games installed. Now I usually stick to 2-3. With the speed of downloads at my house, it's not really an issue to download again.

This is a bit pedantic, but the permafrost scientist in me can't let it pass without comment. This is not a sinkhole, it's a retrogressive thaw slump (which sounds much cooler anyway, in my opinion). They are very interesting, and extremely messy. I just sent some samples from one for dating to get a sense of how long ago the soil carbon being exposed to mineralization was fixed.

D'oh

The hole on those things always crusted over so much that they were essentially a one-time deal.

I thought it was an AI generated image at first....

Not particularly entertaining, but... I caught some shrinkflation in action between last week and today:

Looks like they changed the serving size, too, perhaps to have the same number of servings per container. Last week's box said "Per 16 pieces" above the nutrition info on the front.

Looks like Wheat Thins varies the family size by flavor type, so this may not be shrinkflation.

That's insane.

Although I guess they're saving money on the crackers without the few grams of tomato powder and basil powder. Or their synthetic equivalents.

It makes me really curious about the supply chain of wheat thins! There's probably a fraction of a cent they're saving per ingredient per box that amplifies over however many thousands they sell that makes it worth it?
