I always thought they just splashed them on their wounds.
I must be some kinda wizard - the reasonably priced Brother printer that's stitting next to me just works. More paper and a new toner cartridge every once in a while and it's been a trooper!
To be fair, I've entirely eschewed trying to use it's wireless connectivity in favor of Cat5'ing it directly into the household router, so I daresay that I'd not be typing this without that cable.

Modern CRPGs just let you huck the potion at a party member from a distance.
p.s. I just shared that image on Imgur and it was instantly downvoted. Something similar happened with an image of Kamala Harris I posted a while ago. I wonder if there's a connection...
Maybe I need to find a new image host.
I put off watching the final episode of The Expanse for almost two whole years... just because I didn't want it to be over

Imgur has downvote bots that hit almost everything with a bunch of downvotes at first, especially if it has politics related tags or content. It also has a group in usersub that downvotes anything that is content from a different platform (especially if its tiktok). Less than an hour later you're at 40+ upvotes, so it really isn't a sign of anything.

That's good to know, but the auto downvoting has worked in the past to kill interest in some of my shared images--The Kamala one, for example. Most of my public posts have dozens of upvotes and a few favorites, some of my posts have thousands (which surprised the hell out of me!).
I don't base my self worth on Imgur votes or anything, but the appearance of being silenced is annoying.

Usersub is a fickle beast. The hour of the day matters as much as the content of the image in terms of going viral. If the image is just a screenshot for a news site or other social media platform, sometimes 50 different accounts will upload the same "story" over the span of a few hours, so you'll get downvoted just because it's already been posted, not because people don't like what it's saying. If you're looking to get points (hit 100,000ish and the devs will permanently upgrade you to the ad-free version), commenting is probably an easier route. That or just post meme dumps.
Annnd now it's in the hundreds of upvotes, so yeah.
Today the bots lose!
The comments are super entertaining, too. That's honestly the main reason I do public posts, to see various points of view on topics and silly memes that interest me.

The wife and I have a running joke about our small consumer HP laser printer. It's over a decade old and we replaced the toner maybe twice, definitely not more than three times. Now, there's been YEARS since we last replaced it, definiely pre-pandemic, possibly 2016-17. The hilarious thing is that it started complaining about toner being low almost immediately as far we remember, so pretty much since forever. Granted, we do not print much lately, but it feels like maybe the toner level sensor is faulty and the thing is probably still near full. So now, every time we need to print something, we remind each other that we have the "magic toner" which will just keep going, and laugh our asses off as the prints keep coming out perfect, with no fading whatsoever. We lost the count and have no idea how far it will go, but the fact is that it still prints like new, regardless of hte alert.
When you can't trust your printer to tell you when it's actually hungry, who can you trust?
I recently threw out our dust collector (printer) and I felt unburdened. It was good. I sat down against the wall and felt a little lighter. (I hate printers).
((Longer story would have me telling of all the printers I've worked with, around, yelled at and been assaulted by. I was in the print business and the sound of endless broadsheet printouts haunts me.))
