This speaks to me.

A few years back my company went through a nasty audit so they started a huge internal investigation and heads were rolling. I was just a scrub who had been complaining for years about these issues so I was reasonably confident that I wasn't in danger of losing my job when I got called into a meeting with about 20 people from senior management to "get to the bottom of this."

When I walked in the person leading the meeting said, "now don't worry - this isn't some Spanish Inquisition." As I sat down I said, "No one expects a Spanish Inquisition."

In a room full of twenty some odd people, ONLY my immediate boss burst out laughing. Everyone else just stared at me. Sigh...

One of the Scouting programs I used to run had an outpost where the participants would use traditional hand tools to cut trees and shape wood. The guy who ran it always introduced himself with the line "I'm the lumberjack, and I'm OK." It pretty consistently got one or two chuckles, but most people either didn't get it or just didn't notice.

I'm reminded of the time I was discussing comedians and comedies with someone and I said "I really like Monty Python" and they said, "Yeah, he's pretty funny."

Wonder what happens now that the Baltimore Crabs have ascended.

Most accurate depiction of a classic car nerd on film ever.

all the instances I found on google search sent me to Pinterest which I don't know how to post here.

Also, in addition to Crazy People being a fantastic movie, it might be the only movie in which I can stand Dudley Moore.

'Course we don't take the crabs out! If we took the crabs out, it wouldn't be crunchy, would it?

Fun, yet somehow dissapointing fact: Standing at the top of Olympus Mons (about 30 km tall), you wouldn't be able to see Mars below you, you would only be able to see the slopes of the mountain itself.

If standing on the correct spot on Mars, you would not be able to see Mars because Mars' mons would be in the way.

There's a spot on the sun where if you stand on it you will be instantly incinerated.

If you stand on Mars' Olympus Mons, can you see Venus' Mons?

You might be able to see Uranus.

I see that every morning in the mirror.

maverickz's morning regimen is very thorough!

"Surprised by" or "responsible for"?

I love that sooo much!

That looks more like an amazed "OOOOHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" to me. Kind of like the little green guys in the claw machine in Toy Story.
