June was "hot"

Well, they're not wrong. Sheesh.

Can't believe no one said "Four Hobbits, Two Breakfasts"

Wouldn't "Four Hobbits, Eight Breakfasts" be more accurate?

Doing some work with my power tools earlier inspired this:

So wait, the European "Satellite" Agency (way to mangle an initialism, Independent) is watching pride parades from space to determine how "hot" it is in June?

I don't usually do nature pics here, but I'll make an exception for this one:

(that's fairly high resolution, so you can expand it quite a bit.)

Pride pictures aside, I think you're assuming the article is referring to the ESA, which, it isn't.

Ah, I see. The headline is a bit confusing.

Victor Venema, Scientist, University of Bonn, Germany:
Copernicus Climate Services (managed by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) also uses satellite data, but it is not a satellite agency, that would be ESA. I would suggest calling it a Climate Research or Climate Data Agency.

The main source of this article is this press release by Copernicus Climate Services.

I do love the mental image of satellites zeroing in on public pride events for hotness. TASK NA-STREET-SAT TO SWEEP FOR SWOLE ABS.

I find that my Milwaukee batteries can go the distance. My father-in-law has Ryobei. He used to do a lot of woodworking and would complain about battery life.

The bigger batteries (4 Amp Hours +) are great but I only have one of them and the tools eat the little 1.5AH batteries they came with in no time at all, which is too be expected. Sadly the smaller batteries also don't have a charge indicator on them so the only way to check them is to plug them into the charger. Overall I like the tools and their line of tools that are compatible with these batteries is pretty expansive. Also I like that they recently came out with new batteries and didn't break compatibility with the older tools. Lastly my bff has the same brand so I have a good source of tools to borrow that are compatible with what I have

We are a Ryobi house as well. The newer small batteries do have a charge indicator, which is cool. We have 4 batteries and two chargers, and I have not had any issues with battery life, although I use them for minor things and weekend projects, so obviously YMMV. Love the variety of tools though...

Yea the newer Lithium-Ion batteries are nice which is what my 4AH one is, all the others are kit batteries. I plan to get more tools and get more decent batteries. I have been considering if I want to get their rotary tool or a cordless Dremel.

Looks like they rotated instead of mirroring.
