I recognized it but couldn't think of what it was from. I was thinking Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and a little google seems to confirm that. I only watched the movie.

*ducks* Don't take my nerd card!!!

I won't take your nerd cards, but I will suggest you read the books.

Or enjoy the story as it was meant to be enjoyed, listen to the radio drama.

Just make sure you have plenty of towels.

I think one of my favorite things about HGttG is how when it's adapted to another medium they're required to make a bunch of changes if they want to be true to the property.

Actually, the books were an adaptation of the original radio drama

Its late, I've put in 16 hours today, 40 so far this week, and that was f*cking hilarious.

edit: On and yes, I've been drinking. Just not Ice-T.

I have not seen that iced tea image. Yes, it is effin hilarious. I feel like it is my duty to print out images and tape them to soda fountains from now on. Of course, that would require me going to fast food chains, but it's a small price for comedy.

Be sure to print out pictures of Ice Cube for the ice dispenser, too.

Oh yeah, that's double the awesome. Now all I need is a printer.

Well the first two series were. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th came after Douglas Adams' death. They're good, but disappointingly close to the later books in the series. I am glad they changed the ending though; I remember reading where Adams said he didn't like it and the only reason it ended how it did was because he was depressed when he wrote it.

I need to read the book that that other fellow wrote from Adams' notes. I remember hearing that it actually turned out to be good.

ACTUALLY the radio drama was an adaptation of the original Klingon play.

I think you mean the Shakespeare radio plays. Those in the original Kingon are....breathtaking.

I've done both, and for some reason I enjoy the books more.

Made me think of this little NSFW movie quote:

Spoiler:

One time my cousin Walter got this cat stuck up his ass. True story. He bought it at our local mall, so the whole fiasco wound up on the news. It was embarrasing for my relatives and all, but next week, he did it again. Different cat, same results, complete with another trip to the emergency room. So, I run into him a week later in the mall and he's buying another cat. And I says to him, "Jesus, Walt! What are you doing? You know you're just gonna get this cat stuck up your ass too. Why don't you knock it off?" And he said to me, "Brodie, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?" My cousin was a weird guy.

I don't think we need any further proof. It is official. My brain is broken in horrible, horrible ways.
