As truly awesome as this is, I think I'd crap my pants if I looked out the window and saw that scene.

Llama is tHe Spanish (or Puerto Rican Spanish) for calling on the phone?

Well, llama is the present tense you-formal form of llamar, to call, as in "Usted se llama 1Dgaf."

It's pronounced more like "yama," but yes, it means "call." It's used both for calling on the phone and for calling someone a name.

Or the present-tense third person form, as in "Capitán Hammer llama a su pene del martillo."

What other Spanish words are named after animals?

This is an exciting new area of linguistic research.

I don't get the buffy one? Is it buffy specific, or end of world?

Not named after an animal, but you always want to properly pronounce the "ñ" in "años" when you're telling someone how old you are, otherwise you're telling them you have multiple anuses.

The idea is Buffy keeps saving the world from apocalyptic threats, so if the world doesn't end tomorrow it's because she stopped it.

Buffy regularly prevents the end of the world from occuring. Many stupid people talk about how the Mayan calendar ending on 12/21 means the world will end on the 21st. Buffy will prevent it, and you can thank her on the 22nd for the world still existing.

Supposed Mayan apocalypse is tomorrow, the 21st. When it doesn't happen, because it's stupid, thank Buffy on the 22nd for saving the world.

Learned that from a cute Spanish teacher in college after someone in class tried to ask her how old she was.

The only others I can think of are araña, which is both a spider and the third person singular indicative and command form of "to scratch or scrape," and cobra, which is a snake and also the third person singular indicative and command form of "to charge (money)." Wikipedia also tells me that róbalo is both a sea bass and the affirmative singular familiar command "rob/steal it."

It occurs to me that those are all somewhat connected. Conspiracy?!?!

I thought it was like: she's offering a one night stand on the 22nd, but the world is ending and you won't be able to collect type of irony.

I see now.

After being pointed in the direction of lamebook during work hours, I did what any sensible human being does and I just lost about an hour going through the site.

1. Thank you.
2. Thought I'd share this little gem that made me burst out loud;
