I'm trying to figure out why there are Plague Doctors...at a wedding? Foreshadowing?

They booked that rooftop for the 2pm slot, but the wedding ran long. So they had to wait it out but missed the pandemic summoning window.

They should have hired someone like the tech-support guy I write about, he knows a thing or two about getting ceremonies to run on time.

This awesome quote is unfortunately not attributed to Marcus Aurelius. Though it doesn't diminish the message.

I like the idea that the 50's coach can get tackled

Now I want football to be all about capturing the opposing team's coach.

Wow. It's not often that I have a gut reaction to art, but I did this time. Sadly, my reaction is disgust that such tragic loss of human life is being reduced to an experiment in vegetable sculpture.

I suppose the artist would be happy to hear it though. Isn't one of the definitions of success in art that it inspires a reaction in the viewer?

(No disrespect or disapproval towards Gravey for posting the images is implied. I was simply shocked by having a strong reaction to the photos and felt like writing something to help work it out in my own head.)

I dunno, I found this mostly just interesting. Admittedly a weird subject, but I think just Random Cauliflower Explosions would have been relatively unviewed or uninteresting to most people. Seeing those iconic images that many of us have seared into our brain recreated in such a way was fascinating.

In that Hindenberg one the stalk forming the blimp there?

Yeah, I was stuck between whether it was a patronizing joke, or absurdity used effectively to highlight how something as obscure as the shape that the gasses and debris took at a given moment in time could be so iconic. Also interesting to ask whether or not this would be the case in a pre-photography world.
