Post a picture, entertain me!

Edit: Page break ruins it, so here are some pics:

I love that on the Dragon Effect image, Ashley is nowhere in sight. Hehehehe, guess I'm not the only one who absolutely despised her.

Sad there's no FemShep though. She's TrueShep.

Can I get some context for this? The robot looks like one of the ones from Castle in the Sky, but what is going on in this picture?

You guys spelled Gremlins wrong.

Meh. I've seen Gremlins. Not bad, not great. Not compared to Die Hard, The Ref and Scrooged.

Charlie!

This + Die Hard = BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVAR!

I don't think I'm familiar with this film.

I may not be getting the cultural undertones from that memo issued by Marney, but it seems to me like it's a good way to go about it. These family affairs are a little more complicated than the usual friendly get-together because of all the power dynamics. The way I see it, Marney seems to be sort-of-but-not-quite obligated to put on the family thanksgiving preparations because everyone else doesn't want to host the party, they don't want to step up and take the reins, but want to party anyway, so Marney gets left holding the bag.

In that situation, I feel like she has every right to dictate whatever she feels is necessary. It's not necessarily about personal feelings of perfection. Some preferences might have been expressed to her by other parties and she's just going by the things that will least offend the gathering as a whole, only she has to be the one to say it because everyone else is too chicken or too lazy to say it out loud.

This part is contradicted by this part:

LarryC wrote:

I mean, if it really irritated me that much, I'd just jump right in and put in my own oar in the preparations, so she doesn't have to tell me what to do, right? Or perhaps, simply make a habit of not attending Thankgiving altogether.

I dunno. Food's food to me. If it keeps me alive, I thank my lucky stars and whoever brought it. Poorer people have to spend the holidays eating food from dumpsters. Isn't Thanksgiving about having a grateful outlook in general?

I think you are just saying it differently than we are. Everyone is saying food's food and they would not go... which is what you just said about not attending Thanksgiving. So you understand more than you know, I guess. Maybe you just have less acrimony and blame at Marney around being so overbearing.

"Ok, wow, that's a perfect plan for a great dinner. Hope that goes well for you." <--- add sarcasm to taste (or leave out completely).

You're right on. It's a shoop from a series of historical pictures with modern or fictional characters added in. I'm not sure what the original picture is supposed to look like. (Insert witty comment about the flattening of historicity in the digital age)

Don't do it! You have so much to live for! I'm sure you can live a full and happy life within the four foot range you are constrained to.

^ True. I was sooo happy when their FemShep came out looking like the one I'd been playing all along. Still didn't go with their default though. Lori is her own woman.

Is Kaidan that guy on the left? Because if he is . . . Spoiler for a 5 year old game . . .

Spoiler:

Ashley was killed in the decision scene.

While it's clearly one of Miyazaki's robots, those are actually based on a 1940s era Fleischer Superman cartoon called "The Mechanical Monsters". (Scroll about two-thirds of the way down)

Kaiden was a bland guy who I never talked to and no qualms about

Spoiler:

letting him die to the nuke.

My Paragon FemShep will someday have little blue children running around after mommy Liara and mommy Quinlin.

My Renegade DudeShep, Jack, is a total xenophobic asshole that hatef*cked Ashely. However, he has nothing but kindness and sunshine for Tali.

What could possibly go wrong?

There is no way under God that post actually exists in the middle of the street. Maybe on a road island with guard rails but nuh-uh. No way.

Apparently it does. Or did as of a couple days ago, at least.

This is actually a pretty good analogy for Quebec's stance on the rest of Canada .... /Canada P&C...

Ohhh, you didn't mention it was a Canadian pole! Put an English-only sign on it, and it will be removed, pronto!

For once, a modern art piece I actually get.

Doesn't seem so bland on page 2.

Link to the story for anyone curious (like I was.)

What else is being held besides the game case? Crack pipe?

That is a electronic cigarette. I've been smoke free for a year thanks to this one.
