Any Jets Fans Out there?

I'm a long suffering NYJ fan and was curious to hear what other fans might have to say about the recent coach hirings, Mangini, Sutton and Schottenheimer. I personally have no problem with the choices, yet. They are basically unproven so the choices can;t be picked apart that much, any comments?

Not thrilled with the Mangini hire - too early in his career IMO. He could rise to the occasion, but it's not like there weren't other ways to go.

Sutton feels like a better move to me.

Kinda iffy on Schotty, but I think the youth issue matters a lot less in an out-of-spotlight position like a coordinator.

Yeah, I like Sutton, he's done a good job with the LBs during his tenure. I also hear that Bryan Cox and Richie Anderson may be coming in as position coaches, somebody else too but I can't remember who right now. I'm really wondering now what the draft has in store, if they stay at the 4th spot is it Henderson the OT? A.J. Hawk the LB? or Jay Cutler? or who knows who will be available? I have to say though that I am excited to see the team back in trainig camp again, I'll be heading down to Hempstead again this year! You just can't beat the green out of me, not even Kotite could do that!

If I were a Jets fan, I would sig that.

Pretty sure you mean Ferguson. D'Brickashaw is a hell of a player and I can't see him lasting beyond the top 5. The Jets DEFINITELY missed Kareem McKenzie this past season - D'Brickashaw would go a long way to helping fix that.

A.J. Hawk the LB?

A possibility, but probably not the pick if Ferguson is there.

or Jay Cutler?

Now there's a wildcard. I also have a feeling that either Vince Young or Matt Leinart will be available at pick 4 as well - right now, I am not convinced that those guys go #2 and #3. Opinions are starting to cool a bit on Leinart, and Young's still very green.

It's very much in the realm of possibility that Cutler goes before both Young and Leinart.

*crickets chirping*

No.

Well I knew you weren't Spy!! I was rooting for your boys though in the playoffs.

Yeah, to me it seems like a no-brainer. You have a QB that's been injured three times (wrist x1, and Shoulder x2) so blind side protection is an issue.

I am looking forward to seeing what Mangini can do and where they go from here. I am more interested in the reemergence of the Dolphins as the rightful heir of the AFC East.

Oh, and the Jets did the best move possible by dumping the GM to a "consultant" position. Unfortunately they did the worst thing by promoting his assistant! Anyone remotely responsible for all the personnel moves made during the past 5 years should go coach pee wee league as punishment. Or even worse the Univ of Miami (FL)...
