Yeah, I caught that today. That man may actually be the second person after Wilt to bang the crap out of every 18-25 year-old woman in SoCal. Kudos to him, and may his pooper-putting be good.
He does have tremendous insurance coverage in the event he suffers a career threatening injury (on the field; at the hands of the USC co-ed is not covered). I understand that his parents took out a second on their home to pay the premium on the policy.
If he tears his ACL this year he has nothing.. he took a big risk to stay for another year of college, 20 yr old ass, and no money.
He took out an insurance policy, so he will get something if he is hurt. I saw a piece on SS about his father taking out a second mortage on their family home to do it.
And he will be able to sell insurance/cars/lawn equipment/sunshine in California for the rest of his life if he wants.

Exactly. I don't think he regrets his decision and I honestly believe he made the right one. He'll have plenty of time to be an NFL QB. But playing ball for the Trojans surrounded by tanned SoCal hotties, and an opportunity to be enshrined in the books as two time heisman and three time AP National Champ. How can dollars compete with that?
As a rabid SC Fan (and former student), I'd have to agree that while it's not a "good" thing to envy others....damn....you just have to in his case.
I got to meet him at a scrimmage not too long ago. Now, I'm not saying that I'm a gay man, but I wouldn't be surprised if I had the same look in my eyes that the girl in the pic does. I swooned, I'm sure:)
Yeah he's set either way- one of the so-so Gator quarterbacks of the late 80's Wayne Peace, never ever made it in the pros but Wayne Peace, State Farm Agent gets lots of business from Gator fans in this town.
Any 'name' player with half a brain ought to be able to cash in something.

This is very true. Also, this is the University of Southern California that we are talking about here. It sports one of the wealthiest alumni networks of any university in the world. He will have connections; he is already a made man.

I love America more than any other country in the world, and, exactly for this reason, I insist on the right to criticize her perpetually.
Watch me learn to draw.
You know what, I'm not sure that there is anyone in the world I'd rather be than Leinhart. Dude has it all.

Well, except maybe anyone from UCLA, though if he stole the girlfriend of the Bruins' quarterback, that'd be impressive.
I wish you guys would stop encouraging him.

You all say that this is a great decision for him for 2 reasons:
#1. He is living the life that all of us guys would want to live.
#2. He has not been hurt.
If he ever gets hurt, expect many a nay-sayer to come out and give Matt the "I told you so" speech. Insurance policy or not.

I'd risk death for another year at *my* old college. For an extra year at USC...
