Forza Car Club

Yeah, I would recommend buying a car that has 200hp and giving it full body and handling modifications. I think that I bought a Celica GTS which has around 180hp, tossed on an exhaust to get it up to 200hp and did ok.

The Lotus Elise is the king of those sub 200hp races. I got my 1st top 200 times on that event with one.

Hmm.. I've been using a Celica but maybe I'll just take out some of my power upgrades for my Elise and improve the handling.

The lotus is probably a better bet, being mid-engine rear wheel drive. I just really like celicas.

I may have posted my request in the wrong thread. Can I get an invite, please? Thanks.

I'be been asking for an inviter for weeks Grumpy! Take a number and sit back at the bottom of the pack...

Dutty', maybe you should make a couple more 'recruiters' to keep up with the request for joining the club.

unfortunately, you can only have one recruiter! I think that this is a major oversight on their part, especially since I am very lazy. I will try to send out invites as soon as possible.

I'm gonna get on this morning and knock those invites out. I'm too attached to my little stripe to lose it.

EDIT: Invites went out to Grump and V-O. Sim, you need to accept my friend request before I can invite you.

Invite received, thanks. From skimming (yes, I said it) the thread, I get the impression that progress earned in the offline portion does not carry over to online. Is this correct? If so, there's no reason to even touch offline mode, right? Thanks.

Day 37: Still no invite. Starting... to... break. down.

At any rate, just wanted to pass along some helpful advice. Let's say, hypothetically, that you do an endurance race. You're about 6 seconds ahead, then suddenly you're 23 seconds ahead because the people behind you pitted. There's only about 4 laps left so you decide, "Maybe in these B-Class events you don't really need to pit." Wrong! With a lap and a half left, I er... I mean you would run out of gas and blow half an hour of your life. Remember to pit!

I'm still at work, homeslice. Gimmie an hour.

I haven't had a big enough block of time available yet to dig into the endurance races, but that's a funny story.

I'll try and learn from your mistakes

I picked this up over the weekend. Send me a club invite. And give me some pointers, I am getting pwnzered in the Career mode. If I upgrade my D class car into the C range, does that cause issues?

My username is Poppinfresh 2k5, and I would kill for an invite. Darn it.

As for upgrading, it's not a big deal. You can always swap back in the old parts later to downgrade. In the beginning (the Amateur races) upgrading is probably a good idea, and going from D to C is no problem at all. Money has never been short for me, and I didn't actually have to buy a car until I was fairly far into the game, so I wouldn't worry too much about upgrading overly aggressively.

I plan to let my drivatar handle endurance races.

You certainly can, but they'll take something like $100,000 as a fee in the race I did. It was around 36 minutes long, which isn't really all that bad. I even paused halfway through, then picked it back up. Now, if the race was 2 hours, I'd probably do the Drivatar thing, too.

Your user name is [i]Poppinfresh 2k5[i]????

Well that friggin explains it. The invite that's been active for the last week and a half has been to Poppinfresh, whoever the f*ck that is. Sorry, Poppin, I'll fix it today.

Funny! I kind of thought that may be the case, which is why I wrote it out...

What the heck happened to my quote up there?

Don't ask. Pyro might implode.

/me unlurks to whisper: "Could I get an invite to your car club for cool cats?"

I'll be needin' an invite as well. Me name be PsychoKillerZ. As if you funkers didn't already know that.

Got in some good races with CF and Redhawk. We need to get the whole bunch of us on for one big Forza night sometime.

I would love to do that. Anyone care to suggest a time?

I thought you just crossed the border.
