GWJFL 2005: Week 12

Highlander, would 8 PM EST tonight work for you?

Unfortunately no. I have my son''s baseball practice tonight at 7:30 central (If I am able to go cause I am home sick today trying to get in to see the doctor.) So I probably wouldn''t be availabel until like 10 central.

That''s 11 PM EST. I could do that. Let me know if that works for you.

That sounds good. Sorry for all the problems getting scheduled.

And after teh football game, let''s mess around with the baseball game and the settings. Not a full game but just a couple of quick looks at pitcher interface setting and such.

OK, sounds good.

Grumpy, I just got a PM back from Bagga. He is going to be unavailable until Thursday which is pretty well past deadline. I can play Thursday if we have the opportunity but it''s a bit of a stretch obviously.

Yeah, don''t extend the week that far on behalf of little ol'' me. I didn''t contact Certis in time to let him know of my upcoming absence. Sorry homies.

Warlock, today isn''t good for me, but Tuesday after... 2pm PST I''m available all day. What''s good for you?

Swampy and Certis Good News. Baseball practive was cancelled on account of mud. So I can move my play times up to 9 and 10 p.m. central.

Maybe 9 PM Highlander (EST)...

But wouldn''t that make you late for GR2?

Psycho, you around?

Well 9 EST/8 Central, won''t be happening for me. So it looks like we play at 11 Eastern/10 Central Swampy.

I just PM''d EJay via Xbox Live..I will try on the site as well.

Um, yeah. At... 12:30 PST, I''ll be on my way to the airport, to go to Vegas until Saturday morning.

Don''t think Grump wants to extend the week THAT much.

So, unless you can play before then, I don''t think we''re gonna find the time.

Sorry. Stupid ESPN being down, and stupid roommates needing the TV... just roll for it, I guess?

Highlander and I played our game in the rain. I was able to prevail in a close game and I got an insurance TD late that made it look like a more solid win than it was. Highlander was teh victim of 3 clear drops.

Always fun, Highlander!

So, at 8-4 I''m looking pretty solid for the playoffs I think.

Pride goeth before a fall.

It''s ""goes"", Grumpy.

Man, use spell check or something....

I was trying to use the original biblical spelling. I thought it would be more natural to someone of your... maturity.

If it was the orginal biblical spelling, wouldn''t it be in latin? or Hebrew?

Yes I had some drops against Swampy but what costs me was a missed field goal and a missed stop. I had his RB nailed to force at least a third down and probably a fourth. But instead of tackling the man, my safety decided to celebrate by leaping into the air before he makes the tackle, allowing the RB to run right by him and then score a touchdown.

I blame Microsoft, ESPN, Take2 Interactive, Legion (just because) and everyone over four feet tall.

EDIT: I forgot Jesus. He was at fault too.

Otherwise, good game Swampy

Gott Mit Uns.

Thin_J you wanna play tonight?

Aramaic?

Remember that tonight is the deadline.

Is anyone else having trouble logging in to the league website? Maybe it''s just because I don''t let it save my cookie and I have to login each time but I get an ASP.NET error when I try to connect.

Thread troll here! How ya doin''?

I''ve been trying to log into the other league website all day, and no luck. I have an automatic login, so there must be some other problem. Here''s hoping they fix it.

By the way, I think ""goeth"" represents Medieval English, which is still used in a lot of religious things basically because it sounds cool.

Yeah. Medieval English. I''m pretty sure that''s what Swampy speaks.

That actually makes sense since I''m pretty sure that the version of the proverb comes from the King James Version...

So sayeth the Grupicusth

In other news, it looks like the ESPN league website is back up. Yay!

Biteth me, thou jerketh-faceth.

Warlock,

I really wanted to play the game ''cause I need the win to stay alive mathematically in the playoff race, but I guess I''ve no choice but to hope the coin flips in my favor.
