Fight Night 2 on Xbox

So... now that this thing is a day or two away from my mailbox (Gamefly), are people still playing and enjoying this?

Sure there is I hold long grudges - beatings for Swampy, Certis, JMJ, Grumpicus, and Legion - oh yes big manly beatdowns with red gloves on.

Bring it.

oh yes big manly beatdowns with red gloves on.

Probably to match your red dress.

And pumps.

Yes! I still haven''t moved farther than being ranked like 10th in the career mode, but I''m fighting every single step and moving up one rank at a time, trying to get my stats up before I have to fight the championship fight.

To this point I''m 29-0-0, and I''ve never been knocked down

After letting it age in the plastic for a week or so, I finally tried this game tonight. They did a good job polishing the previous version, though the haymakers do seem overpowered and the soundtrack is too hip-hoppy for my old ears. Overall lots of fun, and I seem to be able to hit the openings much better than in the first version. Maybe I''ll start a career this week.

The ""EA Haymakers"" kinda ruin the game for me... I liked how the last one you really had to use combos and such to wear your opponent down, in this version you just wait till their stamina is low and sock em with your patented EA Haymaker... I wish there was a game setting without the haymaker

I played several matches now without using the haymaker. It takes longer, but is definitely at least a little more fun. The downside is that the computer still uses them and I can''t resisit the temptation to just destroy the bastard after he hits me with one. I''ve managed once or twice to play through a match legitimately, but I usually get fed up with them throwing haymakers. Once I get the tiniest bit frustrated I start using haymakers again myself, and then the other guy practically just drops straight to the mat.

ok...fought my son at a store last week on this...Ali vs Norton - and he pounded me with haymakers, while I jabbed the crap out of him...he won rounds 1 and 4 and me 2 and 3 - so...

ummm...not owning the game...how do you throw a haymaker since my son won''t tell me...lol

If you play on levels harder then easy then the haymaker is not so much of a factor especially as you progress in career mode or so says Bill at Dubious Quality.

thanks for answering my question Spy...

Oh wait...you didn''t...sigh

thanks for answering my question Spy

It''s hard to explain without pictures, but...

Right and Left Haymaker Hooks - Pull out to a side, rotate to back and then reverse your rotation toward forward. From center to 3, rotate Clockwise to 6, and then rotate CC toward 12. From center to 9, rotate CC to 6, and then rotate Clockwise toward 12.

Right and Left Haymaker Uppercuts- Pull to a back angle and rotate back, then reverse rotation toward forward. Center to 5, rotate clockwise to 6 and then rotate CC toward 12. Center to 7, rotate CC to 6, and then rotate Clockwise toward 12.

I''m in. There''s only one copy in our household, but I think Legion''s hooked, so we''ll probably be sharing it until he gets his own.
