The GWJ Steam Gold Club - The Quest to 200

Pages

We are a sick band with a big ass pile. You are no true Steam sucker until you reach 200. I am still at a measly 186:-) Post when you hit 200. What is your 200th game? I'll record the entries for posterity..since they may be the only ones who actually get around to playing the games.

After some thought, I am not going to keep a tally past 200. If you are above 200, your place in gaming history is shameful secure.

I'm quite sure I'm over 200 already, any tips on how to find the exact number?

EDIT: After a brief counting, it's exactly 201 with me (after subtracting the double copies of Civ IV for both PC and Mac). Which means my 200th game is (probably) Dragon Age Ultimate Edition. Hmmm, fitting. 201st was LEGO Star Wars Complete Saga.

200? Long way off. I'm sitting at 61. The number is a bit murky because Steam isn't consistent about listing DLC and expansions.

Go to http://www.steamcalculator.com/ Put your steam community URL in the space and it will give you a total number of games in your account. I'm over 50% there with 107

182 then, I miscounted somewhere. Shouldn't we actually fight to keep the number below 200? Just for the sanity's sake

According to the Steam Calculator, I'm at 199 games.

only at 56 games. I am a slacker..lol

According to the Steam Calculator, I'm at 361 games - I would have hit 200 but this thread didn't exist then - and I may not have been a GWJ frequenter then either

edit: according to the steam drop down list I have 406 - I also know that the calculator is missing some games, for example, I bought the Sherlock Holmes collection during the holiday sale, and the calculator only lists 1 out of the 6 games from that collection.

This is one of those games where you lose by winning, right?

Yep

Edit: I'm at 229 myself. What I am happy about is that I've actually played most of those games. The only ones that I haven't played are the games that game with packs that didn't interest me in the first place, but still managed their way into my list like Counter Strike (original), Ricochet, and Master Levels for Doom 2.

Edit2: I used my Steam community tab to figure it out, but when I used the Steam Calculator, it said I only had 87. It seems to be missing a lot of games, like Mass Effect and Just Cause 2.

I'm sticking with 229.

Edit3: I hand-counted. 229. Final answer, Regis.

Only 140. Apparently I have... higher standards. ...hmpf...

Ah, who am I fooling? I need to order more games!

210 here. As near as I can tell, number 200 was F1 2010.

What was the first game you people bought using Steam? Mine was Audiosurf over two years ago. It's been downhill since then.

201. Hit 200 near the end of the sale. Europa Universalis 3 was #200 apparently.

edit: my first game was Half-Life 2, in 2004.

Up to 168 and first game was a gifted copy of TF2 from Jakeleg!

65 here, and there's already a bunch that will likely never see play.

I only have 70 games and feel pretty good about that, because I've actually played all but 6 or 7 of them and the ones I have't played (or only played a few minutes of) are all fairly recent additions that I know I'll get to soonish.

My first game was The Orange Box - and even then I was very reluctant to use Steam. I hated the idea of having to use some service in order to play a game I bought. Now I have over 400 games and love the convenience of having everything at my fingertips instead of strewn around the house.

Oh god that's a scary website.

Looks like I've only (hah!) got 78 games. On the plus side, I know I haven't actually spent $1200.

Yeah, there's a bunch of things on there it values at like $50 that I paid $10 for, and even more that are all up over $20 that I paid $5 or less for.

The calculator shows me at 96, so I'm halfway there.

And the first game I ever bought through Steam was also Audiosurf. (Steam got installed with Orange Box, which I bought retail.)

261 is my count. Man, what that money could have bought...

This game is like golf, right? I'm currently winning then, with a count of 21 games.

Sure, you're winning, but you're also losing out on your gamer cred.

I have 160 according to the calculator. Steam says I have 210. Weird.

Oof. That calendar is useful! As expected, it turns out I have a lot fewer games then I thought. Then again, it's not including expansions and repurchases, so that's fine by me.

I'm at just 104 games, with a value of around $1800. I almost choked when I saw what the calculator says I spent on Steam, but it turns out the calculator doesn't take into account those massive Steam sales. I've spent at least less than half of that, and spread out over years, that is just fine when I consider the hours I've put into those titles.

A mere 30, worth $428.70 USD. I'm sure I've paid less than half of that for them all, thanks to the sales.

SteamCalc says I have 69 games. I think I'll stop there.

For simplicity, let's just go with the Steam drop down list.

A mere 128 for me, probably half of which I've never even booted up. Kind of depressing, really.

Updated.
