WoW:So I made some target dummies

I know I place it on the ground and it will get creature to attack them but anybody have more details?

Like what is the range of the taunting? Or do I have to pull the creature towards me and the dummy?

I only have a couple and they are not easy for me to churn out currently so did not want to waste them with expiriments so thought I try to get some info up front.

Thanks

From what I understand you should not need more then one. They will break down into thier components and you can remake it.

OK did not know that.

Can anybody confirm this?

If so this is great and will use them a lot.

Morella confirmed it, but who knows if it has changed since then. Try it and find out.

In my experience they will usually drop their component parts, although usually minus a few leather.

I''m not sure on their general level of effictiveness. I''ve used a few of the advanced models in tough scrapes, but haven''t had the chance to see how much damage they can absorb. Sometimes they''re ignored altogether, in which case the waving arm mocks YOU rather than the mobs.

I have a single masterwork dummy I''m saving for a special occasion, but it cost much more to build it than the few dozen silver it would take to repair gear after dying.

They taunt an enemy and have an X amount of hps.. the more advanced targetting dumies have more hps.

Generally they are only useful for adds... since if you even do a small amount of damage the taunting wont work anymore.

Even healing will most of the time draw off the add from the dummy.

OK thanks for information.

As A mage I thought I could use them to help me when I get more than 2 or 3 in a single pull.

Since I can sheep one anything over 2 or 3 gets a bit dicey.

Will have to give it a go as I can use all the help I can get since I am not what I would call a good mage any help is good.
