New WoW Third Party UI Improvements

I have not tried these yet, but they look pretty useful for certain purposes. I'm almost disgusted to put them up, as their purpose for helping farming and AH speculation are obvious, but they're out for the rest of the world and I love you guys so here they are:

WoW UI Tools

Cosmos already has it where you can mark previous spots on your map(I use it for ore). So, fortunately this won''t be anything new to most and won''t effect my mining that bad.

I am also glad to report that ore doesn''t always spawn in the same place and there is a bit of randomness to it, thankfully.

I wonder to what extent Blizzard will let these mods go? I don''t see anything horrible about these mods, but they do give a significant advantage over those who run without them.

That Auctioneer addon looks pretty sweet, actually. Might have to give that one (and the harvesting one) a try.

My only problem is I see these links, but then by the time I get home at night, have forgotten about them.

I don''t think you looked at all the mods available on that page.

I did and I was just not wanting someone to get some huge advantage over another person with the tracking and with Cosmos already doing this, it is fine.

The AH thing is interesting but with the wonky economy, it is a crapshoot most of the time.

I IM my home machine with URLs that I want to follow-up on later.

Sure. The enchanting thing also looks like it will be pretty nice, but obviously of limited use to anyone who is not an enchanter (although I supposed sophisticated groups of non-enchanters will use it in determining what to sell versus what to send to the enchanter).

You are probably right. I hate to think what kind of programs people run to ""cheat"" that we will never know about. As long as my gameplay experience remains fun, I won''t care. I have a blast hanging out with the GWJ guys and I hope it keeps going for many months.

My advice to all of you thinking about installing mods is to only use mods that are approved by Blizzard. I took a short look at the mod code, and it wouldn''t be too hard for a haxor to add a mod that does a little *more* than their advertized functions.... account info spewing out during login would be pretty easy to do

PAR

Just starting out in enchanting and the enchanter add on looks like it could be real handy.

Ha! That''s me too, and I hate coming home later that night and trying to find where I saw a certain link. I should start doing that too Grump.

Cosmos'' Paladin module is awesome.
It lets you create sets of Blessings for your party, say 1-Might, 2-Reduce Threat, 3-Might, 4-Wisdom, 5-Reduce Threat would be 1 set. Then bind that to a key. Then hit that key 5 times. Viola! Party buffed! I think you can have up to 5 sets.
Brilliant!

Dude, where is THAT mod? I have NOT found that in my tooling though Cosmos.

Must give that a closer look tonight.

I e-mail them to myself. Kinda silly, but at least I can''t lose them!

Can anyone tell me how to get my Cosmos to look like the below picture? I want the buff timer underneath each buff like that and I still want to get a whole 2 full rows of hotkey bars but can''t.
Also, on the side hotbar, what are the letters over the icons? Are those just macros? I noticed them on GG''s screens too.

From the looks of that, he''s got the Second Bar up with all the graphics turned off (that''s the left hand half of the second row) and then one row of the Pop Bar. Not too hard to do. Then, the Buff Mod up for the buffs. I like the long text version, but you can take that off and orient them so it just shows the time, digitally. I''d have to be at my home computer to tell you specifically what options you''d want to select, but the Second Bar should be easy to get up there, and the Pop Bar just takes some re-positioning to get it where you want it.

As for the letters over the sidebar icons, I don''t know about that one.

EDIT: Also, anyone find that when you look at a screenshot, you find this horrible need to click on the spells, or mouseover the items in the text to see what the stats are? Sigh. So addicted.

THat''s one thing I loooooooooove about Thottbot and Allakhazam - they have rollovers on talents and items. I just wish they had my inventory too, since I switch from 2H to 1H+Shield all the time.

The buff timers are in the cosmos options under ""GotMoo Buff Mod""... it''s easy to miss because of the ""GotMoo"" part.

Does anyone else still run into the problem where a line on item descriptions blanks out--like the sell price? I can''t remember if this was fixed at some point and then came back.

I remember it and my sale price when I sell to a vendor still does it from time to time.

Yeah, according to the Cosmos dev, that was due to a bug with Props, and if you turned off Props, it went away. But now, I have Props off and it''s doing it again anyway. Not sure why. Maybe need to turn on Props, save it, then turn it off, dunno.

But it _was_ a bug with Props. Not sure what''s causing it now.

I''ve never seen the sell price ''stay'' on the item at a vendor. It will display when I first hover the mouse over the item and disappear. You can then re-hover the mouse to see it again.

Also, you can buy back the last item you sold for the same amount you sold it for in the bottom right hand corner of the vendor window. It only works for the last item sold so you need to pay attention but it''s saved me a few times when I''m on a click fest after a run.

Oh yeah, that buyback from the vendor has saved me many times. I have a tendency to buy a recipe from a vendor and then immediately right click to learn it. Oops.

If you''re using Cosmos, that''s the issue. It used to, and normally does stay. But for a while, Disabling Props fixed it. Now it''s back again.

You can assign keyboard shortcuts to all the extra toolbars in cosmos.

Just keep scrolling under the keyboard option you''ll find them eventually

I have the left side set to CTRL 1-6 and the Right side ALT 1-6

The 2nd Toolbar is set to Shift 1 through =

Im old school...its faster for me to use the keyboard than click on things.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will try some more tweaking.
