Sorry to create yet another WoW thread, but I want to keep this pretty specific - and its not a Ra Ra WoW Rules!. If anything this may be a weakness.
I've not so much been playing as part of the GWJ guild/group. I've got a few other friends playing and we're going to try and play as a tight-knit group - hopefully doing 90% of the game's content as a group.
That said - with starter towns for each races being different, your looking at the first 10 levels at least being played seperate (it seems). We're playing horde characters and we'd come to accept my Orc friend and I (Tauren) wouldn't meet up until about level 10 when it was looking like we'd both have quests to the Barrens.
Then the third in our group began their character, an undead Warlock, and we'd not realized the Undead began on another continent entirely. I thought all the horde began on the one continent and the alliance on another. So now I'm looking at the undead running around on the Barrens and they're all level 20-23. So it doesn't look like our 'group' will be on the same page until then. Combined with each of us having begun at slightly different times (lvl 9 warlock, lvl 15 druid, lvl 11 fighter) - is it going to practical to be a group at some point?
So here are my questions/issues:
I figure as the leveling slows - our experience levels will get pretty tight. Also I'm making an effort to not play so much and let the warlock catch up.
If our lvl 9 warlock was to hop a Zeplin (or whatever) and come to our continent now - are they going to be able to find quests?
What if I go to the continent of the warlock as a lvl 13 druid - will I find quests?
So far it seems like I'm following a thread of quests intended to lead you to zone after zone. So it doesn't seem like a good idea to abandon this progression and just hop to another location.
I'd expect that eventually this thread of quests for each race will meet up and we'll be able to group and for the most part be working the same quests. Is this correct? If so, when? Level 20+?
