Your WoW professions

My next character will be two gathering professions me thinks.

There are all kinds of copper mines around IF, but to get tin or silver you need to go next door to Loch Modan.

That might make the difference; i would love to have a mining/smithing character, i was getting tired of only coming across copper (and very little at that) and seeing tons of skinnable bodies lying around, seemed like a waste.

And can i just say how awesome i''m finding this game? i never got into EQ, and i tried CoH for a while, it was pretty good. but this is great.

Just wish you guys had picked another server for he gwj guild besides Blackhand, i live on the west coast and that server always has a long queue...

That should go way fairly soon so give it a bit more time.

A shout out to all of the Blackhand Alliance guildsmen and women who sent green items to Priam- he''s now a level 20 at enchanting and can do some modest mana, defense and health enchantments to bracers and chest armor. Thanks, everybody.

That reminds me.. I got like 8 or so magic items sitting in the bank waiting to be sent off to an enchanter. I''ll send them off tonight.

Sounds like Priam might be getting some madskillz soon.

After I hit 20 I''ll start sending you some green stuff Sanj, I''ve got like a gold worths of skills though to look forward to.

Any chance of this getting stickied underneath the Name/Class thread? Would make sense to have them together before this one falls off the page.

OK guys, I''m an expert tailor now and getting to a lot of recipes that require stuff besides thread, dye and cloth. So far I have ones that require iridescent pearls, spider silks, medium leather and heavy leather. I have skinning so have found a couple of medium leathers, but if you can spare any of the others, please send them over!

EDIT: Because some have asked, I am almost to 10 slot bags, they take 12 silk, 2 heavy leather and 3 fine thread (which I can buy for 3s).

For those of you 10+ that need 8 slots, when you see me on hit me up. 10- that need 6 slots, I''m your man, can make however many you need.

Leaping, I would like to look at your ""inventory"" again, I am gonna need to upgrade my stuff soon. I definitely want 8 slot pages, but I will feel better when I can send you some wool. Should I stop spamming you linen?

JD, I can always use linen, wool or silk. I use the linen to help out the newer guys and peoples'' alts coming on board with upgrades and bags, we were all new once.

Next time you see me on, let me know and I''ll check you out and see what I can upgrade.

I know it''s got to be a no-brainer but I''m struggling to figure out how fishing works. I have the training, a pole, and a shiny bauble but I''ll be damned if I can get the thing in the water. Do you equip the pole like a weapon to use it? Or place it in one of the interface slots? I''m mystified.

By the way, if anyone on the Shadowsong server needs stuff, let me know. Scorpions in the Orgirmmar area were dropping green stuff like crazy later on in the evening. I''ve reached a point where I tend to ignore them but I was experimenting with my pet''s aggressive setting and managed to pick up some pretty good loot in the process.

I also discovered the auto run feature while adventuring with Somazx and Demiurge last night. Wheee! Now I can type and run at the same time!

Slambie, once you equip your fishing pole open your spellbook. Look for a fishing icon and move that to your hotbar. Now, use this hotkey to cast your line. When you see the bobber move in the water right-click on it & if you caught anything a loot menu pops up.

To use the shiny bauble, right-click on it then left-click on your fishing pole, you should then see a casting timer pop up while the bauble is added to your pole. When you now hover your cursor over your fishing pole the info box will tell you how much longer your bauble will last.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Vic! I can''t believe I never thought to drag the skill to my hotbar. I knew it was going to be something dead simple.

I did the same thing with wands slambie. I put my wand in the hot bar instead of the ''shoot'' skill from my spellbook, I was running around for like two days going ""damn wand, work!""

Leaping, I''ve started to skin some heavy leather but they are still few and far between. I can send some your way if you have no other source for your 10-slot bags.

Thats a lot of silk. Do you have any sort of silk inventory as of yet?

Cope, I have 7-8 from drops or people sending me 1 or 2. I have some on hold for Lafrete that he sent me, but that''s about it, no significant amount so far. I think it drops from 25+ humanoids, but might be 26, didn''t pay that close attention when I got it.

How high in skinning do you need to be for heavy leather? And what are you skinning it from? I''m at about 150 right now.

I''m not sure how much it depends on your skinning level but I know it depends on the level of the monster. Like silks, it starts to drop at around lvl 26 or 27. I''ve got a few from the big bad raptors inside the excavation site near menethil harbor.

Hoochie,
Check your mail for a surprise from Curb''s Creations.

Hey flux, I got one pearl. How many do you need to make one of those pearl handled daggers?

I got a new character to add to the list: Keld - Mining/Blacksmith - Alliance

Just two amigo.

I need wool people - for the love of God - Undreth needs woollllll...... Thanks to everyone who has sent linen...

Well, I switched Peecaboo from skinning/leather to mining/engineering...because it looked like fun. I feel bad though, I wasn''t really paying attention and didn''t realize that everyone can''t use the things that go BOOOM!. But, I can make ammo and stuff, and soon I should be able to make good guns.

Anyone got any suggestions?
I am installing the game now, and am willing to whore out at least one of my skills as a gatherer for now.
I will probably make a Gnome Magician, but what would be a good set of skills? (other than fishing/cooking/first aid which apparently it looks like you can have all you want) What all do we need?

Also what server is the ""official GWJ server""? Black something wasn''t it?

I''m doing Mining/Blacksmithing with Shaun for the Horde. Can''t say I''m a super dedicated crafter type though, so I don''t know how high I''ll get it.

Do whatever you think sounds fun.

We are on Blackhand for both our guilds. GWJ Alliance and GWJ Horde.
