Me and my buddy just sat down and beat halo 2 in one sitting in 7 hours. We couldn't decide if that was cool or sad. I think it's a little of both. I really enjoyed it though and will probably play through it again.
Playing Halo 1 coop tended to go a lot faster than playing solo. After several hours of Halo 2 play yesterday, I was about midway through level three.
There''s a lot of content in this game, but the combat is so fast paced that it''s easy to run through the levels very quickly.
Still, slowing down a bit is worth while. Some of the city architecture in level 2 is really fascinating and there''s lots of neat stuff in the backgrounds.
I haven''t beat it yet but I''ve played enough to notice that the skills levels are not on par with the first Halo. I''ve played a level on Normal and it''s a lot easier than the first one. Boring easy even. So I''ve restarted on Heroic and it feels like the first one did on Normal. I wouldn''t touch it in coop with anything easier than Legendary, unless I''m playing with my girlfriend that is, in wich case we wouldn''t play it at all.
I''ll say that again. Do NOT play this game on Normal. Playing the same level on Normal and then Heroic felt like two completely different games, and Heroic is still pretty easy but challenging enough to keep things interesting. Bungie obviously wanted to make it more accessible this time, probably because of the issues a lot of people have with FPS''s on a gamepad. Even though the skills levels descriptions give a good indication of this, most people won''t even read that and stick to the defaults... and finish the game in less than 10 hours, disappointed. Tsk tsk Bungie.
also according to the guide all the skill levels have alternate content to eachother...I''m gonna see what they mean but, first I must beat it first lol
I''ve just been playing through on normal, I did not realize there would be different content between difficulties (except for perhaps Legendary). I have reached the 8th level solo, but played from the beginning co-op last night all the way to the 8th level as well in about 4 hours. THat pretty much echos what Alcology noted in that co-op you can go through it quite quickly. I should have raised the difficulty, although one reason we could go through the levels quicker is that I knew what I was doing.
I noticed on the level titled Delta Halo when you go through the ruins in easy they give you the scorpion while the Hell Jumpers are running around in a chain gun hog.
Yeah, I''m definitely going back to it on each difficulty. It would be weird not too. I did that with the first one on everything besides easy and it was really fun to see the differences. I''m a big fan of the story too and for me it was cool to just rip through it to see the story. Next time is for exploring!
Isn''t seven hours a bit short?
Final Warrior Quest - Play it for free!
Agent of Fate - Play it for free!

no particular interest, no particular talent
I''ve played you online Marlin and you handed my ass to me, you''re way too good to be playing this game on normal.
