Yes Certis, that''s all I did in Bosnia. In fact, we had a game mode that I entitled, ''Kill Reaper.'' I tried to be nice.
I''m definitely in.
Edwin, good point, I guess we need to work with those logos and come up with something cool for the clan. Should be interesting to see what we can do with the clan options and what not.
Man, I''m excited!
I won''t have a mic for live right away, but I plan on taking full advantage of the 2 month freebie, and renewing with a good Live Kit (hopefully with something other than Crimson Skies as the pack-in). I might pick up the cheapo $7 MadKatz replacement Mic if need be.
Woohoo!.. 8 more days..

I read in EGM that they''re not going to allow people to make thier own clan logos because of pornography. Now they didn''t mention any sort of Bungie controlled logo approval process or anything but that sounds like too much of a pain. It''ll probably be like Bungie.net where you select a generic tag from a set, which is pretty crappy. I wish they had a way to upload your own clan tag somehow.
Oh and, just because we desperately need to want the game more, I provide a link to an interview! Feast and weep!
See this and tremble for the day of Glory is at hand.
Pyroman[FO],
There''s this link at the top, you may have heard of it. Search .
Well arent you Mr. Smarty pants green wormlike being of Doom - fine then I will search, I prefer being spoonfed, but I will do what I can
It has a standard stock set of insignias we can use. I personally am using the Ninja on fire.
I would like to play some halo 2. I played so much halo I''m surprised I don''t have carnal knowledge of it. Or nubs for thumbs. If I played my name would be MooseJuice

Now where will I go to see naked ladies?
An ""upload approval process"" would indeed be great. It wouldn''t take very long for clients to download the most recently approved & uploaded logos upon startup, and save them to the hard drive. We''re talking just little images here.
I am so in. Halo multiplayer is the most fun I''ve had on the Xbox. Reading the above, looks like I won''t have any problems to qualify, since I suck as well.
We should meet up on TS and go over our options ahead of time, just so we can hit the floor running when it comes out.
Or the voice chat option on the xbox dashboard.
Quick question - why would a keyboard mouse combo be considered ""cheaty""...
Link to Cheaty device after Pyro forced me to look it up myself:
Because not everyone can/would buy them, I suppose.
I hate the Xbox controller for FPS'' so I think I will be buying one of these...
I''m so in for a GWJ clan in Halo 2.
And Spy.. imagine playing counter-strike on the Xbox versus someone using a PC. Think of how little fun it would be losing round after round after round.
Now imagine this situation in Halo 2. There ya go. 90% of players will all have only the regular controllers to play with. If that KB/Mouse thing works the way it''s supposed to it will give those using it a pretty considerable edge. Just IMO of course.
Well since you put it that way - I will definitely be buying it
This is interesting. I will finally be able to see if I am actually good at Halo. The only human competition I''ve ever had are by RL buddies, who are simply terrible at it. This game might not be as fun if I can''t make my opponents worship me as though I were a God.

I''m wondering if this won''t be the case with me too. Against my friends I do extremely well and rarely ever lose. All I hear all night is ""DAMNIT JOSH LEAVE ME ALONE""
I''m wondering if I''ll be able to come even close to doing that well against the denizens of the internet who don''t do any thing but play games.
I''m not convinced the mouse-and-keyboard will be quite the advantage some think.
I wonder if games limit the rate of change in X/Y axes input to whatever the far reaches of the thumbsticks are. Somehow I don''t know that being able to plug in a mouse will mean that you can perform the same kind of fast spin that you could in a PC game made for mouse input.
I would hope games make some sanity checks on controller input. I have a feeling that using a mouse in these games might be a bit slower and more unwieldy than everyone is expecting.
But hey, let me know if it''s not.
Now what you all waited for... Team PS2Ownz review of the new SmartJoy FRAG!If you havent heard, it''s a new technology that remaps the PS2''s controller inputs to a normal PS/2 keyboard/mouse for FPS games. It also features 8 pre-programmed Presets inside, for such games as SOCOM II, Medal of Honor: Frontline, Time Splitters 2, James Bond: Nightfire, Rainbow Six 3, Ghost Recon: Jungle Story, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and REZ (and YES, the X-Box version does come with most of these preloads, a HALO and Counter-Strike preload as well!) Users can also edit these presets, and make or save your own too! There is also a special key-combo to reset everything back to default settings- cool idea! So you''re asking: ""Does it really work, and is it worth it?"" YES! The SmartJoy FRAG is definitely worth the price, especially for PC gamers who also own a PS2... as the PS2''s controller isn''t meant for FPS games, gamers know you need a real keyboard and mouse!
SOCOM II is up for testing, so I plug in my keyboard and mouse to the SmartJoy FRAG''s color coded ports, plug that into the PS2, and start it up! As the game loaded, I pulled out the nice color insert that Lik-Sang included with the SmartJoy FRAG that detailed all the button layouts and how to program them, what keys to use. etc... hit F1 for SOCOM II presets! Played a bit of SOCOM II, and I have to say the SmartJoy FRAG is amazing, no noticeable lag at all, works nice and fast as well- just as if I was playing SOCOM II on my PC with a 26"" HDTV screen!
The SmartJoy FRAG features the ability to save and change presets, which using the keyboard plus special key-push combo''s I was able to SOCOM II presets and then save them perfectly. What I would love to see in a later version is the ability to link to a PC via a USB port to import your own custom button-sets via a PC program! Overall, I highly recommend picking up the SmartJoy FRAG from www.Lik-Sang.com- it''s under $30, and available for both the PS2 and X-Box!
Thanks again to Lik-Sang for sending these fine products for Team PS2Ownz to review!
I''m sure Bungie are aware of that POS device and will do something about it.
Again I ask what makes this a POS device? Seems to me it is tailored to those of us who are primarily PC Gamers who want to play w/a keyboard and mouse...
Green''s just saying that he thinks the idea of someone using a different interface than the game was designed for is shady. I can certainly see why. If 90% of the audience is using controllers, and 10% are using keyboards and mice and doing better because of it,it might seem a bit like cheating to me.
Myself, I''m determined to become much more proficent with the controller. I consider it a sort of challenge. But to each they''re own. If you get the adaptor, Spy, and you''re on our side, I''m all for it.
Plenty of console FPSers claim they''re just as good (or better) at using a controller over a keyboard/mouse combo. Here''s a nice chance to prove it, if nothing else.
Given that one of my fave games was Halo, but I found the controller a bit wonky in both SP and MP, I would probably buy it just for SP alone, but if it helps in MP I think I would get it... Does anyone actually have the device that can spout a few words?

They had their chance with Quake 3 and UT for Dreamcast and look what happened to them!
I ordered my SmartJoy FRAG for Xbox but still haven''t received it.
