19-8! Total Yankees domination!

Anybody got a link to that hellacious song that''s one part Steve Perry, one part Dirk Diggler that''s called, ""We Believe""?

Oh my God... .... ...

Alright the Evil Empire has fallen, bring on the Cards (hopefully). Wait I mean I want the Cards to win Our team here in Memphis is the Cards farm team so we have to root for them. Although Boston deserves a Championship as well.

BTW Kenny Albert is the most uncharasmatic reporter ever.

WHERE THE F... IS SIM??

Watching this game, this series, was surreal. It''s awesome to know that you''re watching history be made... in a good way

after the interview on FOX, Joe Torre is what MLB should be all about

Torre is a class act all the way, and one of the best managers ever.

That''s right, it''ll be all Astros tomorrow night!

After game 3, it''s like the Red Sox found something inside that they didn''t have last year and hit the gas, and the Yankees absolutely ran out of gas. They had nothing in the tank. I saw it in games 5 and 6. I hoped game 7 would bring some adreneline, but they just didn''t have it in them. The fans were silent most of the game which disappoints me. While I''m certainly disappointed, I HAVE to give props to the Red Sox. Simply the greatest comeback in modern sports history, no question about it. They never quit, they got strength from the extra inning games instead of losing strength like the Yankees, and always believed it was their destiny to win. I saw a little of their desperation with Alex Rodriguez''s little swatting thing. They were trying to generate enthusiasm somewhere, it just wasn''t there. The Red Sox deserved to win and I''ll cheer for them in the series! Congrats Red Sox Nation!

Who wants to bet Sim was at the game? He is probably riding the train home now crying in his yankees merchandise.

Sim. That was a classy thing to do. Especially after starting this thread and adding in a few ""of course the Yankees will win"" type posts.

I''m drained. dead. dog tired...and drunk. May the ""who''s your daddy"" chant never be uttered again.

Cheers all, and goodnight.

Sim, you have just gained the utmost respect that I could ever give a Yankee fan, right next to Joe T.

Joe T. is still eeeeeevil by association, but a nice eeeeevil

This is all just sinking in... Derek Lowe was awesome tonight...

May the ""who''s your daddy"" chant never be uttered again.

Face it. That cheer is like hearing ""It''s getting hot in here"" at weddings. We''re going to be stuck with that one for a very long time.

Just saw the box score . . . . <neo voice> whoa </neo voice>.

You BoSox people are gonna be a lot harder to deal with now . . . ain''t ya?

I failed high school, and community college, got my HS g/f pregnant, and im a wanted criminal for stealing from peoples houses! But it doesn''t matter as we won the penant from the Yankees!

Or something like that.

*sob* I love you guys too. Now someone PLEASE find me a gun!!!

The question is not finding a gun but what model, year, bullet type, and type of gun you want? I''m sure between all of us here we have just what you need.

well hold on! for him or for him to get me?

Hehe, never said which did I?

ok, I''m outta here!

Best thing...now no longer can they constantly drone on about how a team has never come back from a 3-0 hole to win a series.

But I''m sure the announcers in various sports will find something else to drone about.

Like getting to the big show and blowing it?

Go Sox, nice job. Die Yankees!

Ok, this morning I transferred all my money into canned goods and shotguns, because the 2nd sign of the apocalypse occurred and the RED SOX beat the YANKEES in a playoff series. I say bring on the Cards so they can exorsize (sp?) all of their demons in one fell swoop (Cards beat the Sox in 2 different World Series).

Oh, and Who''s your Daddy? ORTIZ!!!!

Mateo: Were you out last night on Landsdown with all those people? Man I would be surprised if anything around there is still standing..

No, I didn''t go to Landesdowne, not for lack of trying. Commonwealth, The Cask, hell, even the new Tiki Bar were jam packed.

I got down with the crowd at Murphy''s.

P.S.-Fenway and Landsdowne seem to be standing this AM.

Very quiet today. The ride in on the T was civilized, instead of the usual ''Tokyo crush"", and there aren''t that many here at work today.

Everyone seems to be optimistic, but not overconfident, about the World Series. Much as Boston loves its Red Sox, they aren''t making any grand proclamations.

Gotta love the Red Sox Nation.

The ride in this morning wasn''t bad at all. Sturrow didn''t seem as packed. The parking lot at Lechemere had plenty of spots, and it''s usually full by 730am.

I don''t think ANYONE in RSN is being overconfident about the world series. We had a great end to the LCS, I think we want to bask in that for a day. Then we''ll go back to heart pounding nervousness for Saturday. The NLCS teams are both very good.

Mateo, I''ll be somewhere kenmore square Saturday. Pretty sure Pulse will come with me. Maybe we''ll see you around....along with the rest of Boston.

Grats fans, they definitely deserved a win.

Hopefully next year the Rays can get in the action!

<cue crickets chirping>

As great as this series was... how come there is never any fall over into the next year for Baseball in general?

Its like Baseball exsists in approx 4 cities... everyone else seems to not really care one way or another..

I betcha anything the Phillies will draw less than 2/3rds of what they did the next year.. I''d say probably 40% of the crowd that came this year was simply for the new stadium. (which is very nice btw)

what are the Yankees gonna do for Visa ads next year to keep it light?

You merely assume that Steinbrenner was signing a check for Torre...

Park was empty huh? Yeah I think today will be a Commonwealth wide holiday up there.. talking to a friend of mine and almost definately coming up to catch the game on Saturday in the South end. Hopefully Wakefield will have his stuff on and pitch 8 good innings (when do you think ANY of Houston or Cardinals last saw a knuckleballer??)

Possible pitching schedule I heard this morning:

Wakefield
Shilling (so he pitches at home and does not have to hit)
Pedro
Lowe (I would put Arroyo and have Lowe as a long reliever but that is just me)
