WoW Stress Test Meet and Greet

oh good lord this game is addictive..

Just played 5 hours straight... Tauron Druid on some other server..

Too bad we didnt have server names before 3pm EST.. since I basically just chose one at random.

I made level 9 and its pretty damn impressive how stable smooth and well running everything is... had some initial lag right when I logged (to be expected) once I got away from the hordes of noobs I was fine.

Max detail on everything 1600X1200 the engine looks phenomonal.

Oh... Druids will certainly get nerfed..

Root, DOT, Nuke, Melee I can kill things 2-3 levels above me with nary a scratch.

Unless of course thats by design and its the same for every class.

Quick first impressions""

Looks great
Best not to use the mouse, at least for me
Know what this game reminds me of? Guild Wars!

Oh, and I suck.

Can you send messages across races? Like if I''m a troll, can I send someone who''s Human a message if I know their name?

I''m playing a troll hunter named Hubbage. Love it so far...

I don''t like that you can''t add non-alliance players to your friends list and what not.

Well, it kinda makes sense Marlin... I mean, they are your mortal enemies. Overall, I really like the game. It sucks that you can''t get your friends of other races together till later... hence our group of all dwarves... but TS really makes the game great

I think much like DAOC there is no interaction with races outside your alliance other than the PVP aspect.

I''m Hammerfell, a dwarf warrior, on the same server.

I agree, it sucks Marlin. Why can''t we atleast add them to our friends list, which is OOC, anyways.

OMG this game is awesome! =) Granted it''s only been 1 night playing and made it to lvl 7 (I am the horse looking race, a warrior), the game is leaps and bounds over the joy CoH has brought me lately. Would I switch? Who knows. The game is still in the ""oh this is cool!"" phase. Need to play much more before I decide. And lucky for me, I have Sat, Sun, Monday off with no responsibility what-so-ever! WOOOO!!!!

Oooh got sucked in for about 6 hours tonite. Love the game so far. My only concern is that if I play the stress test too much I''m going to get burnt out on the game by the time retail comes out.

Stress? What stress? The game is running smoove as buttah. 8)

It is nice and shiney right now and I''m enjoying the hell out it, but in the long run I think it might be more treadmill than I have the patience for. I think GuildWars will be more what I''m looking for. Like you said, though, who knows.

I''ve already had a spawn camping experience, waiting in line for a quest mob to spawn. That brought back terrible memories. *shivers* Wasn''t really too long, though, don''t get me wrong.

What are the grouping restrictions in WoW? Like in terms of levels. We''re already finding half of us can''t group together because we''re the wrong alignments. That kind of sucks, too.

Isn''t this thing only six or seven days? Ease up tiger! Don''t play 24/7. Save yourself for the big dance!

I was having a hard time communicating or getting anyone decent to group with. It would be great if we could somehow meet up in the game and also get a TS channel going for WoW. It is going to be occupying all my time over the next few days so i would like to spend it with the rest of you that are gonna be on the stress test. Post whatever plans/ideas you have on here to meetup etc.

Hm... I was wondering why it was getting boring to play my paladin... maybe I''ll make something else...
And I have, I am now LesterKing the tauren druid. Sorry to cramp your style, Guru!

Moved this post to the impressions thread.

I''m playing the following on Ysera:

Artesia - human warrior or
Stonerune -human preist

Just started as of 5:30 tonight so if grouping a low level is cool give me a shout

I''ll be jumping on later, after dinner. I have no idea what the group level restrictions are. Any regular beta-testers want to enlighten us?

Let''s try to get more GWJers together. Perhaps new chars to get everyone in the same alliance? Not that I thrill with the idea of leveling up again to my uber powerful level 6 (hah!), but its a lot more fun with a good group.
