How do I check my RoN CD key?

I might have been sold a secondhand copy of RoN. Is the best way to check the CD key is valid (i.e. not in use by anyone else) to set up a game with another person, or is there some other way?

Need advice before I go to shop tomorrow.

To check if the key is valid? I can''t imagine any way of knowing for sure aside from playing online. Saved some money and bought used did we?

Not knowingly. If I''d bought used I would have said ""I bought a secondhand copy of RoN"" instead of ""I might have been sold a secondhand copy of RoN"".

I bought new, but when I got the game home, the CD-key sticker was on the back of the manual and looked like a thumb had been at it. (The box wasn''t sealed since the store keeps the CDs and manuals in draws behind the till.)

I put it the sticker issue out of my mind, but I bought the expanstion pack yesterday the CD-key was stuck to the inside of the DVD case so that made me wonder what was going on.

Stop sh*t stirring, you. Anyway he started it with his fancypants plural personal pronouns.

We were not amused.

Oh I wasn''t disapproving, Certis always has it coming.

I also suggest you just try to play a random internet game. If you don''t get kicked then the CD key is fine.
