Holy Crap...Poor Dolphins fans

Oh come now. Young Frankenstein was pretty damn good.

Hey I love the Brooks-ter. YF and History of the World rank up there. But Blazing Saddles is his coup de grace.

The only line not filmed for BS was one after the lights go out and Madeline Kahn goes back to bed with Sherrif Bart.

She asks if it''s true what they say about (black dudes).
Then she starts yelling It''s True! It''s True!

The unfilmed line is, ""Baby, you are sucking on my arm.""

Edit - Now to bring this back on topic...

Umm. How about them Dolphins?

Like Spynavy, the Marino thing didn''t make the news here or just didn''t get ''big enough'' coverage to make it on my radar. What happened where they kicked him out of town? Shula pretty much still owns the team anyway right?

Ok, I have to ask. How''d you find that one out?

He was on QVC selling the DVD Collection of all his movies when he told the story. The things you see while flipping through the channels.

No kidding. Damn. I wish I could have seen that.

Oh dont get me wrong as a rabid Dolphins fan I dont wish a pox on his house or anything (well I guess I do) - never mind....

Seriously, football is a job and I understand the man just saying ""F it - I quit"", but come on man - timing - you dont do that a few months before opening day... We could have had EDDIEEEEE..... But in the immortal words of buzzvang ""It doesn''t matter, though, because it''s dead to me. The whole ******* (expletive deleted) thing is dead to me.""

I know the timing is way bad but at the same time maybe something during the offseason training sessions happened that pushed him over the edge or maybe he is unprofessional and waited to be a jerk.

I do not know but you guys are better off with a no name talent then a guy that does not want to be there. That is just poison in a locker room.

Also read where Dolphins are trying to get some of the money back he was paid which I think is fair if the contract allows for that.

ESPN Page 2 take on what the future will hold for Williams.

Week 4 -- Tabloid photographers capture Williams sunning himself on a beach in Bali. He is wearing a helmet.

Classic

I like you pulse - you can be my friend :). Dan was the Man and I was sad to see him go without a ring... Would have been nice for him to go out with one like Elway did... Maybe they will stink so bad they will walk away with the franchise picks at next years draft....

Spy, coming from someone who''s defending my country, it''s an honor.

On a side note since you''re a Dolphins fan. I''ve had Patriots season tickets since 1993. The Dolphins, for a while, were public enemy #1...mostly because Marino owned us. Well, the year after Shula retired Robert Kraft gave him some award before a ''Fins-Pats game. He got a 5 minute standing ovation before a crowd of die hard Pats fans. Even though the ''Fins owned us, you had to respect what he and Marino did.

Of course after the ceremony we booed the sh*t out of Jimmy Johnson.

I have to tell you I saw in your tag you were from Boston so I was like ""Oh one of those New England fans"" :). I have to hand it to the Pats - while those guys are ""the enemy"" - they really are a great team with a lot of class. (Secretly I have enjoyed watching them play) Shula and Marino were a great combo - well respected in the community of Miami as a whole. I think the Patriots could do it again this year - we shall see.

on paper the Patriots are much better, but we''ll see how it turns out when the season starts. Expectations are high!! Coach Bellichek is really deserving of credit for the attitude and professionalism of the team. Bob Kraft is probably second on the list. It''s refreshing that no one is above the team. So different than years past.

Lets hope we can have some good debates when the season kicks off!

A silver lining to the Ricky Williams fiasco....Edgerrin James wants to play for the Dolphins. It ""could"" be argued he''s a more complete RB.

Hmm ok looks like Ricky has been really hitting the weed.

$650,000 fine and the stuff I read about having to give back some more money looks like it is going to be a big financial hit to quit. I think nearly $7 mil if I remember correctly he will owe back.

That''s been out there for a while. Seems that Ricki went on record saying that not only did he use, but a bunch of other players did as well, and most used some ""mystery liquid'' to pass the drug tests.

Then he got upset when the press said, essentially;

""Ah go on ya stoner.""

People I know that smoke weed are REAL hard to get angry. I''ve seen people that you could walk up to and tell them: ""your mom, your dad, your sister, and your dog have all been molested"" and they''d be like ""Its all good.""

Then again, everyone reacts to drugs differently.

Would love to have Edgerrin James - can Payton come too :)?
